for my son, it is UCPB naman. dunno what are the other requeirement and the maintaning balance since ninang niya ang nag-open who is working on that bank. she just let me fill out a form then photo namen ni baby.

Pinag-iisipan ko kung mag-oopen ako savings account for my baby or open a time deposit account for him. Unang-una, I don't intend to withdraw money from his account pero plan ko magdeposit every pay day. Hindi ba sa time deposit dapat all in na? Nakakapag deposit pa ba kung time deposit or fixed na talaga yun initial deposit?

time deposit  RCBC bank, mas okay para sa akin since wala naman ako plan na kunin yun kase para sa pag aaral ng anak ko yun..

maliit lang pala ang interest ng JCS. ang maganda lang may pera c baby nkakaipon sya kahit niya p niya hehe isipin ko kung BDO ako sa coop. yun nga lang ang coop hindi member ng PDIC.

depende kasi sa case kung kelan ka magdeposit dalawa case yan:
1. upon maturity ba o tinatawag naRenewal. sa case na ito ikaw ang bahala kung yung interest mo is kukunin mo o hindi then mag-add ka pa ng principal mo which is magdeposit ka nga.

2. hindi pa matured ang account mo or hindi pa nareach ang term days mo then magdedeposit kana ulit or dadagdagan mo ang principal mo ang tawag dun Preterm Renewal. sa case naman na ito mababago na ulit ang maturity date ng account mo then maari mong kuhanin na yung interest from date opened to kung kelan k magdeposit ulit.

kung malabo po pa-ask nalang po sa bank para on the spot po ang explanation nila..

for those who opened Fun savers club/metrobank for their kids, may na-avail po ba kayong free educational trust benefit worth P50K? i just read it from metro's site. as i read this thread, most mommies nag-open with BDO dahil accessible. pero in terms of interest rates and benefits/features, ano po ba meron sa BDO at metro ( aside po sa discount priveleges)?

Hi, matagal na pala itong thread na ito, based on my research kung gus2 mo ng mas malaking return sa savings mo esp. your kids savings. you may also try Mutual Fund. ihave put my kids savings sa mutual fund for my 2 kids and so far so good. there are 3 options depending on your needs: you may try the high risk, balanced or low risk. xempre mas risky mas mataas ang return. also, things i have learned thru finacial trainings if you really want to protect your family's future. you have to secure yourself first. you have to build your financial foundation. protect yourself thru health and lifetime insurance (SSS is an affordable option), eliminate your debts, then emergency fund incase mawalan ng work, then investment. as parents dapat matutunan natin yung tamang investments and savings para worry free pag tumanda tau or maaga nating maiwan ang ating loved ones. if u want to learn more about these you may contact IMG Tel. opened a BDO Junior Savers account for my little girl - for convenience reasons. Gusto din daw kasi hulugan ng mom ko for her apo, e since nasa Manila sila, kailangan yung easily accessible na bank.

I'm considering opening or getting another form of investment for my daughter too. Thinking kung mutual fund, investment-type insurance, or time deposit na lang... (may ibang thread ata for this. hehe. sorry mods kung OT)

We just opened an account for my 3 year old son sa Allied Bank. 100 lang pwede na mag open. =) Dun namin dineposit yung mga binigay sa kanyang money last christmas. Pati yung benta sa old stuff niya. =)

natuwa naman ako sa BDO, a month or 2 after i opened a JSC acct for my baby, nag-send sila ng rewards card sa akin, so instead of getting the advantage card from SM, yun na lang BDO rewards card ginagamit ko

BDO JSC din yung kay Xian. Last December ako nag open so I can keep yung mga monetary gifts sa kanya nun binyag niya and christmas. Nagulat ako, sobrang bilis iopen. Valid ID ko lang, copy ng busy (kahit di nga authenticated kc wala pang 3 months yun baby ko the time ng nag open ako ng accnt for him) and ang cute pa dun, yung pics ng baby.. 

500 lang initial deposit. In less than 10 mins. ibibigay na sa iyo passbook. Good thing pa about bdo, open sila everyday mall hours.. kaya yun. Mas prefer ko talaga siya.

hi mommies when you start saving money for your baby sa banko bakit dun nyo napili? and ano po ba ang pinaka ok na bangko pwede isave ang money ni baby? kasi gusto ko na magipon.. sana pala noon pa kaya lang.. ngayon lang ako ulit nagkawork.. i have my savings naman kaya lang under my tita's name din kasi she works sa bangko ng mga sundalo if im not mistaken..  hindi na ko makapagopen ulit  gusto ko sana name na ni baby.. san kaya ang pinaka ok? wala kasi talaga ako alam tungkol sa mga ganyan hehe para sana befor ako magopen. ano po yung mga requirements and benefits na makukuha like yung insurance? and lumalaki po ba talaga ? tia mommies

hi, everyone...  i was just thinking what is the best bank na pwede ako mag open ng account for my 1yr old kid? gusto ko sana yung may mas magandang offer eh. and sa dinami dami ng banks d ko alam kung which is better  thanks. hope you could help me with this especially sa mga expert mom...

Hi Mommy,

I opened a bank account for my daughter in BDO. It's called Junior Savers Club. If the child is below 7 years old, passbook only otherwise both with atm and passbook. Just try to google it. Hope it helps!
