Gusto ng sister ko i-open account son niya ng BDO's juniors savers club as in now na. kaya lang nasa abroad sya e, pwede ba ako mag-open account for my nephew? at need pa rin ba birth certificate and id ng sister ko? and ask ko na rin if ang JSC ba pwede rin i-enroll online? thanks sa mga sasagot. :)

i think pwede naman, kasi i didn't have to go to the bank personally when i opened the savings acct of my baby...kumuha lang ng form yung staff ng MIL ko, then fill-up ko sa house, gave all the necessary requirements then sya na nag-submit sa bank (BDO)..but since nasa abroad yung sister mo, need mo pa siguro ipadala dun yung form (?) for her to fill up and sign, medyo hassle :(

^ Thank you sa info sis.. :)

yung anak ko nasa FUN SAVERS CLUB ng METROBANK. ang initial deposit is 500 pesos and ang requirements ay Birth Cert., Valid ID and yung initial deposit. meron sila kapag 1st time mo magoopen sa kanila ng account (for kids) 4,000.00 then may insurance na yun if I'm not mistaken nasa 50,000.00..

hope this helps. :D

I was planning to open an account for my baby kaya I visit BDO and Metrobank Website, mas cheaper yung offer ng BDO with their JSC. Please see below:

FEATURES                                   JSC - BOYF
Minimum Initial Deposit           Php 100.00
Maintaining ADB                           Php 100.00
ADB to earn Interest                    Php 500.00
Interest Rate per Annum            0.375%
Document                                   Passbook Only
Token                                           Pencil Case
Age Qualification                           children 12 years old and below

Mas accessible din kase yung BDO since open sila during weekends sa mga mall but yung package ng Metro FSC mas maganda:

Product Features
    1. Minimum Amount: P500.00
    2.   Eligibility:
             - Purchaser: Depositors and Non-Depositors, Individuals and Corporate
             - Beneficiary: Individuals below 18 years of age

Benefits
    1.   Easy to purchase. Relatives/non-relatives can do away with documentary requirements in account opening.     Provides value-for-money gift alternative
             - an affordable gift
             - a gift that offers more than its cash value-- freebies, discounts, insurance and educational benefits to club members
             - a lasting gift
    2.   Ensures the customer that the gift is used as intended (that is, to encourage saving)

Details:
       •   P50,000 educational trust fund
       •   free personal accident insurance
       •   A Welcome Gift
       •   Special Privileges at popular establishments
       •   Peso or US Dollar savings accounts are eligible for enrollment

I will talk muna with hubby to help me decide kung aling accoung yung i-oopen for baby sean :)

Just want to share mga mommies, we opened a time deposit account sa Chinabank for my baby last January. Magmamature na next week. Pwede ko na uling dagdagan. So far, compare with other banks, Chinabank has a higher rate of interest at 3% per annum. Medyo malaki lang required initial deposit.

Ako mommy, I decide to transfer sa mutual fund , kc nag open ako ng time deposit pero after 3 years liit ng kita 700 lang, unlike if ni transfer ko agad sa Mutual fund almost 18-30k ang na income ko sana (dipende sa investment) . Actually may May Bank, Bdo, MBTC at China Bank Saving… mas malaki interest ng China Bank .

Thanks

Hello everyone! My son's school just finished their community walk the other day where they went around GH Shopping Center and visited the different establishments there. One of the stops was Eastwest Bank. i accompanied my son and he was given a free piggy bank by the bank employee. They had told us that they offer a kiddie savings account and if and when my son fills his piggy bank then we should bring it to them to open an account with them. i am not familiar with the requirements as the did not give me any information about it. I just wanted to share that there are other options. Maybe you should check out their website if you're interested. I myself am still thinking of which bank i should enroll my kid into. My personal favorite bank is BPI as it os very accessible but they don't have an account for kids. If I wanted to open with them then I had to open a regular savings account. BDO seems nice since every SM Mall has one.

Subscribing. :)

Still thinking if I'd go for Metrobank or the more convenient BDO. BPI sana kaso their jumpstart savings is for 10-17 year olds lang eh....
