Hello smartparenting,
I just want to share my story. I was a flight attendant of 10 years, i was based in dubai UAE. Pangarap ko talaga maging flight attendant and i’m thankful natupad ko. Until i got married, me and my husband waited long time for me to get pregnant as per the doctor stress and because i am PCOS rin. So i decided to stop my flight attendant career since flying of different time and countries worldwide is very stressing, we prayed so hard for me to get pregnant naturally and thank God i got pregnant after almost 4 years of waiting. When i was pregnant i had just started a career in the abu dhabi airport based in the UAE parin. With my work, we saved some money during my panganganak, check ups and all my vitamins are paid by my work’s insurance, we haven’t spent anything because of that. I delivered via vaginal birth a bouncing baby girl with only 2 hours of labour and all is covered by my work’s insurance, it is of big help financially.
As we started to raised our baby girl, it became difficult for us to raise the baby alternately since me and my husband are both working, even with the help of our mothers, it is hard as they are already old.
So then we decided for me to quit my job, so i can be a full time mom to our baby girl which we waited for so long. It is quite difficult financially but with the proper conversation with your husband and a little pagtitipid, nothing can never be solved.
I have no regrets, i am very happy to be her full time mom, it is hard at first since i have no clue how to raise a baby, and since we are still living here in the UAE, i have no relatives or parents to help me with. I just keep on reading and watching videos on raising a baby, also thankful to smartparenting as your stories continue to help me raise our baby.
As she is now a toddler and growing healthy, i am glad that i quit my career even if it was my ever dream, it is overwhelming to be with her in all her milestones and developments, learned about her tantrums and mood swings, laugh together, and teach her all the things she needed to learn.
I know i am still starting also learning and on the process of her growing, but i can say i am happy i chose this life to be with her everyday 24/7, with sleep or without sleep, and still counting.
My story only shows that we as a mother went through some difficult choices in our life, but we are strong enough to choose what is best for our children, as we no longer lived for ourselves but now as a mother, we lived for our children.
It also a blessing as my husband got promoted so we managed our expenses properly.
To all the mothers, you are all wonderfully created by God and whatever choice you made just put it through Him and God will guide you along the way. To God be the glory.
