I can relate....
my son's name is THAERON SEAN
his first name is pronounced as [THEY-ron] (soft TH sound like the word thumb)
but people would call him TYRON [TIE-ron} wich is very different... I would always have to correct them.. haaayz!

My baby's name is Allaine (A-leyn) Venice(Ve-nis).. Ang simple-simple if babasahin and titignan, but some people would call my baby Ellaine (E-leyn), Allen (ginawa pang boy) and worst Alin (alin-alin ang naiba) toinks!

Re: my baby's name is "always" mispronounced!
Yan din ang dilemma ko while growing up. Considering ang simple ng name ko at minsan mali pa spelling ng ibang tao. grrr! Kaya sa babies ko, pinasimple ko talaga. Like, Atari Nayumi. As you promounce na iyon ah. A-TA-RI NA-YU-MI. Walang silent H, F, U, W o kung ano pa man "palaman" o dagdag. Para hindi naman kawawa yung anak ko.

Although syempre di maiwasan ng parents na magbigay ng pangalan na gusto nila. Yun nga lang, prone talaga sa inis pag nagkakamali yung ibang tao :)

my son's name din namimispronounce nila...

Name ng baby ko is Reid Calvin, pronounced as Reed, parang si LA Reid (sa X-Factor) or si Tara Reid sa american pie...

pero ang pronunciation nila is "Re Id" as in Re (do re mi) tapos Id (Id, ego, super ego)...gosh!!!

Haha.. same here.. My baby's name always mispronounce.. Kirsten Alexandria Brielle.. Lagi nilang pinopronounce as Kristen.. which should be pronounced as Kirsten.. pati yung nickname which is Brielle (Briyel) laging na-ppronounce as Bryle(Brayl).. Sabi ng lolo at lola niya.. ang hirap naman ng nickname nakakabulol.. hehe.. :)

My name is Jireh. People mispronounce my name as, "Jerry, Jereh, Jeerah and many more" But it's pronounced as "Jhai-Rah"

MY son's name is Ezekiel Janco, people mispronounced his second name is, "John-co, Jang-co, Han-ko, Hang-ko etc." But it's actually pronounced as "Yan-ko" hahaha!

I get this all the time.  ;D
My son's name is Caden (cay-den)  Davin (Day-vin). But they usually pronounce it as:
CAH-DEN, KE-DEN, KI-DEN, DE-VIN, DAH-VIN.
