what kind of family planning is really effective?

Althea is the latest 21-cycle birth-control pill product released by the Trust Family Program (TFP), which also manufactures the Trust Pill, Daphne, and Lady. Althea is referred to as TFP’s “beauty pill” because it has the same formulation as that of the more expensive Diane-35.

My OB recommended Althea because it’s low-dose and it’s good for the skin.
It has the same effect as that of Diane35--smoother skin, no pimples and smaller pores, fuller breasts pa! Although I have tried using Diane 35 for the past 5 years, I switched to Althea because of the price.  I have to budget kasi, like most moms do.

my OB prescribed me Althea, same result of diane but cheaper, it makes my skin clearer, di ako tinutubuan ng pimples (i used to have occasional pimples before) at higit sa lahat, nakakapayat (one of the benefits of althea)...i gave birth thru CS, so, di puwede agad sa akin ang work-out pero lahat ng damit ko before got married and pregnant ay nasusuot ko na...

sis, good news 2ng althea s kin. sana nga hiyang din s kin. can u tell me the dosage? once a day lang din ba yn? what's the ideal time for taking ALTHEA?... thanks!

been using yasmin pills, it ws given by my ob kc it's  low dose pill daw. Ive been using pills for the past 6yrs, yung last pill ko nag allergy ako, as in ang panget ng skin ko. My derma advise me to stop muna my pills bak daw kc un ang nag ti trigger. So i stop, and nag stop din yung allergies (un lang na preggy ako with my 2nd child) after giving birth iniba ng ob ko yung pills and yasmin nga binigay niya, since then gumanda na skin ko. No allergies and di rin cia nakaka taba (accdg to my ob!) kc low dose pill daw cia. medyo pricey nga lang kc nasa 620/pak cia.
sa mga nag ti take po ng althea pills, how much po? baka kc ms mura ci s yasmin..

i was using Diane35 for 5 years to treat my PCOS.  my OB said that i'd have difficulty having kids due to PCOS but after 5 years of using Diane, I now have 2 kids!  But it's side effect to me was migraine.  I get hospitalized almost every month due to severe migraine.

Now I'm taking Althea, a cheaper version of Diane.  Its side effect?  Gastritis.  I dunno, but I observed that after taking Althea, my gastritis would trigger.  Anyhow, i still take it because it gives me clearer and fairer skin.  i just take medications for my gastritis.

I suggest that before taking any pills, ask you OB about it.  These are just my experiences I'd like to share with you.  I hope this helps.

iba-iba talaga ang effects ng contraceptive pills sa atin...nag-gain din ako ng weight nong tumagal na...

ALTHEA has been working for me. been using it for 3 years now and i didn't have any pimple since (i have oily skin btw). But like what the other mommies have said, may kanya-kanyang hiyangan lang sa mga pills. Still best to ask your OB.

yung regular bang TRUST Pill (the one im using)...pano magswitch sa ALTHEA?..nakaka gain weight din ba ang althea?how much po un?..
un trust pill po gamit ko 35p..tapos SUPER gain weight ako..1month use palang ngayon..ok naman skin ko...mas prefer ko sana,un pill na maganda sa skin then nakaka fullerbreast..

ALTHEA pills cost 250 more or less kasi iba iba ang price nang mga botika eh ,,

hmmm i think ang effect makikita mo agad pag naubos mo ang i pack kasi ako ganun eh di naman kapangitan ang skin ko ang wala din ako gaano pimples but kita mo naman na nagiging smoother eh kaya alam ko effective sya !!

Im using YASMIN mas naging smooth ang skin ko and di ako nagkaka pimple, pumputi rin ako and kumokonti  yung mga unwanted hair at di ako tumataba...effective sya sa akin...

yeah i agree with that mommy, same effect of althea pumayat ako and ang daming nagulat sa body ko, cs din ako and tlagang mataba me pero ngaun nakakabili na me ng mga pang slim na damit hehe.... no effort for exercise hahaha... pero grabe ang side effect sakin nung una, hilong hilo ako na nasusuka tapos nag papalpitate, pero ngaun 2ng month nawala na un hilo pero my palpitate parin pero d na madalaas, 1 1/2 month palang me gumagamit pero kita na agad un pag payat ko which is gusto nating mga mommy, and pumuti rin po me
