@Purple10 - it's wonderful that there might be an herbal remedy to Dengue. But the DOH warns that studies conducted about the effectiveness of tawa-tawa are in its preliminary stages. Therefore, it's best to consult health professionals in the unfortunate event that you or your family members get dengue.

nung pinainom namin ng tawa-tawa yung kapatid at pinsan ko nasa hospital sila nun kapatid ko sa san lazaro and pinsan sa hagonoy, hindi alam ng security na nakapagpasok kami ng nakaboil ng tawa-tawa...as in sobrang baba ng platelet at may bleeding na din...well hindi ko naman sinasabi din dito na gayahin ninyo yung ginawa namin,im just sharing, since yun yung question...its a no,no talaga na hindi kayo magpaconsult sa doktor dahil nakakamatay talaga ang dengue....we are desperate in that time dahil sunod sunod na ng hospital bed na kahilera ang namamatayan, thats why we decided to try tawa-tawa...ayun after 2 days nakalabas na sila hospital..at hindi yan nirerecommend ng doktor, pero kung di kami nagtry baka wala na yung kapatid ko...

from what i've witnessed, yes, effective ang tawa tawa. yung friend ng brother ko pati yung classmates ng niece ko napagaling ng tawa tawa. yung 1 classmate ng niece ko nag critical na kasi super baba ng platelets. what her lola did was to give the kid tawa tawa and within the week magaling na yung bata.

tawa tawa has a property that increases the platelet counts kaya sinasabi nila nakakagaling ng dengue kasi pag may dengue ang nakakamatay talaga un sudden drop the platelet count. i wonder why DOH can not conduct study on tawa-tawa e marami naman ang may maganda experience dito. but we must remember that whatever tawa tawa contains that can help boost the platelet count is in natural and pure form eto that can be toxic kung sumobra. since wala pa nga study on its tixocity kaya mahirap magtake lang as prescribed by someone you know. whats effective with other people will not be effective to you or vice versa. our government should invest sa pagexplore ng mga natural medicines na available sa philippines para naman maging mura ang mga gamot.

The OL Trap kit includes one cup, 1 lawanit stick, and 4 sachets of the pellet (to be diluted in water to form a solution). Each sachet is good for one week. It is safe, natural and organic. It makes use of no pesticides or insecticides and is easy to set up and use.
Soon to be available in major supermarkets and drugstores nationwide, the OL Trap is manufactured by the Heritage Veterinary Corporation (HVC). In the meantime, it can be purchased for P20 a kit at Czary Techno Industries

Hi mga mommies, I'm a newbie here in SP. Sana pala nabasa ko agad yung thread na to before pa magka dengue yung baby ko. He's now 7 mos, last month sya nagkadengue. Super traumatic dahil nag stage 3 sya.

I just want to add din.
God bless us!

My baby was diagnosed with dengue fever last week. The fever started Friday. Every 4 to 6 hours tumataas ang lagnat. Wala din siyang ganang kumain even milk. Gusto niya laging nakahiga.

Saturday night namin sya tinakbo sa hospital, ok naman platelet  count niya though nasa minimum. Wala pang 3 days yung fever kaya di pa masabing Dengue. Based on Urinalysis - dehydrated na si baby. Home medication.

Eggs, water, kahit nakaswero, fruits, rice.

Friday, tumaas ng konti ang platelet.
Saturday, my baby's platelet reached to 114, pwede na kaming umuwi.

Pinaka symptoms ni baby Raine kaya na namin dinala sa doctor, 3 days of high fever kahit on and off, walang ganang kumain, hindi masigla. Laging nakahiga.
