since my son is traumatized with having his haircut, nangangati kasi sa small hair sa neck niya, i decided to bring him to toddler haircut salons, para kahit umiyak sya and magwala, di naman nakakahiya sa mga adult clients, who would frown and look down upon a hollering baby.

we usually have our haircut at "cuts for tots". it's at SM MOA, south wing, infront of the Selecta Kidz Zone, malapit facing the ocean. it's the building behind SMX convention center.

the haircut is parang P260 tama ba? may discount card kasi kami eh. pero basically, i pay about P300 kasama na ang tip. ok naman kasi they have:
1. tv to occupy the child's time with various dvds.
2. car seat/little toy car seat that acts as the chair;
3. patient hairdressers, and staff. --- if the child begins to cry everybody will try to distract him, blowing bubbles etc.
4. may children's waiting area na may toys;
5. they give a small (inexpensive) toy sa kid after the haircut, parang souvenir....like the ones that you'll get sa lootbag, pero konti lang ha. one or two lang.

when baby outgrows his fear for the razor sound and the itchy feeling, sa cheap na salon na lang sya, or barbershop, pero now, dun muna sya until he conquers his fears.  ;D

I am also looking for Pink Salon by Barbie everywhere. Do you have info about it? I really want this for my daughter's 7th birthday party.
Thanks.

I used to go to the kiddie barber shops but found them too costly at almost P300 or P200+.

I know go to the barber in Marquinton, Blue Wave in Marikina.

It only costs like P100+

My baby behaves and good thing they also give a lolipop.

Decent cuts naman like semi calbo or shave or anything you like.

my son had his first haircut last august. he was 10months old. hindi naman kase ako mapamahiin na kailangan hintayin ang first birthday. ang haba na kase ng bangs, eh lalaki pa naman ang baby ko  ;D

this was in cuts4tots in megamall. bahave naman, enjoy sa car na upuan. tinutupi pa niya yun side mirror.

Hi Sis! Same thing with mommy, I also tried the baby salons, mine naman in Robinsons Galleria. But then may moment din na my son was crying talaga, almost half year, when he's between 2-3 years old, we literally stopped bringing him to salon, and my hubby just gave him his hair cut.  ;D...and then we tried to bring him to regular salons na, where my hubby gets his hair cut. There is a salon in Pasig that shampoos your hair while seating, so my son found it interesting...and his dad got his haircut first, so he watched, and then eventually after a few more visits to the salon, pa-minimize na tantrums niya...until he got used to it.

My nephew was a year younger than my son, my moment din siya na iyak ng iyak everytime, we tried having my son and him for a haircut together, my son got his first, while he was watching. Na-minimize naman tantrums niya, until he got used to it na din. :D

For the first few years, nice to try and kid's salon, but if for a son, haircuts are very frequent, I find spending P300 every month or even twice a month, sort of very expensive na. And normally the cut in kid's salon is very basic, that's why I like bringing him to regular salons, para may added style! :D

But, some adults salon would not accept doing haircuts for kids especially for toddlers for safety din, they'll know best if they can handle a crying/moving kid naman, so I didn't feel bad on the time I tried going to one salon for my son.  ;)

mahal pala sa kiddie salons :o  buti na lang sa barber shop lang kami 50pesos  :) hindi ko pa naexperience magtantrums si baby during  haircut except there are times ayaw niya talaga magpagupit even he's already seated magyaya na uuwi daw so uwi na lang kami.  Mabagal atska manipis hair niya kaya every other month ang hair cut.

I saw those kiddie salons at SM, I find it cute especially yung car seat; minsan siguro treat ko si baby dun, we'll try their service.
