He's 15 month old na...

Just disposable diaper for Miguel. Never tried lampin. Minsan brief, kapag nag-nappy change kami and lapit na siya maligo. :)

For my panganay, she has very sensitive skin that no disposable diapers matched her. Even a small sweat on her bottom can result to rashes. I have no choice but to resort to cloth and stock, wash (that dirty job), dry and fold it all myself. Problem pa pag tag-ulan walang masampayan. When we go out, I still have to line her disposable diaper with folded cloth diaper. In a  way, kahit mahirap, I am thankful that all those years, I did not dispose tons of solid, non-biodegradable waste to the environment.

Before my second child was born, I stocked up on cloth diapers expecting it will be the same. I'm glad I was saved of the works kasi his bottom is not as sensitive as his ate's. It's just a matter of trying all brands to know which one he's "hiyang" with. I still feel sorry I made mother earth suffer.

Cloth diapers is a good choice if you are up to the dirty and tasking job, specially if your baby's skin is sensitive. I even got this cloth diaper shaped like a disposable na may velcro pa as tapes (forgot the brand name but they havve that in supermarkets, dept stores and baby shops). Cheap cloth diapers with wide weave gaps are easy to dry after washing. Branded-quality cloth diapers absorbs more but takes a longer time to air dry.

Disposables are more convenient. I suggest stock up a little of both and see how it works.

With Enzo, I tried using cloth diapers, I have a stock of gauze and bird's eye (not sure if it's the name) I tried doing it kase I know it's cheaper though very tedious, but hey I'm a SAHM, so I can do it! ;)  I didn't mind the checking, feeling, changing routine of cloth diapering. After 2mos of trying, I gave up and started on using disposable since.

^same.. at first na-tyaga ko yung cloth diapers pag umaga, gabi lang siposable diapers.. andami ko rin bird's eye lampin and gauze type.. takot kasi ako na magka-rashes yung diaper area ni baby.. pero nung nakita ko na hindi makatulog si baby ng dire-diretso pag umaga, nag-opt na ako to use disposable diapers na.. pag nagkakaron ng pamumula sa skin ni baby, switch to lampin muna kami hanggang mawala.. good thing hindi naman nagka-rash ng matindi si baby..

ngayon at 5 months, twice nalang nagsusuot ng disposables si baby.. one in the morning, after maligo saka pag matutulog na sa gabi.. the rest of the day, naka-shorts or briefs nalang si baby.. :)

My twins use cloth diapers medyo sensitive kasi skin nila saka tipid na din.. 2yrs old na sila now pero cloth diapers pa din sila. nakabili na siguro ako ng lagpas sa 10dozen na lampin. every other day laba. kasi mauubusan. yung cloth diaper na ginagamit ko every 6mos. ata need palitan or hindi lang parang 3mos nga lang kasi nabubutas din siya.. nakakapagod pero worth it naman saka help na din kay mother earth pero d\hindi kaya na pati gabi naka cloth diaper ha kasi puyatan na yun saka masisira din tulog nila..so sa gabi disposable din sila hehe

i used cloth diaper with my son, for the first 6 months, SAHM ako that time, when i worked, we used disposable diapers. my pedia advised to use cloth diaper or briefs na lang sa gabi si baby since mas less sila magwiwi to avoid diaper rash. pag onti lang naman milk intake ni baby, surely konti lang ang din wiwi nila. i also experienced having a hard time magpatuyo ng lampin kahit pa bird's eye during rainy season kaya, 3 dosena yata ang cloth diaper ni baby. ngaun, less diapers na siya, yung lampin niya panlagay na lang sa likod, sobrang absorbent kc.  ;)

mommy lelen,
