hi sis alexismom! :) sa Bahayang Pag-Asa Subdivision sis, sa may Molino. Dun sya sa may Harrell Horne Integrated School grounds malapit. It's really nice, enjoyable talaga. They accept kids basta 3 years old na. My daughter still has a 'warm-up' stage pa rin naman with strangers, pero pag nakasama na niya ng matagal-tagal, ok na. :)

Hubby and I decided na i-enroll baby namin sa playchool when she was 2years 8 mos old.  And it turned out to be a good decision. Before kasi siya nagschool, hindi pa siya halos nagsasalita! and she was very shy around other people but very bibo kapag kilala niya yung audience niya.  After about two months in school, ayun, super daldal na and magaling na makipag interact with other people :)
She's now almost 5 and ang new challenge naman namin is yung preparation niya for big school next year.  She's going to be grade 1 na!  :o

For me, around three years old. Pero magsummer program muna siya before the start of the school year, para lang masanay.  ;) Excited na kooooo!  ;D

^Korek sis Kuliglig  :) its a good idea to enroll your baby at summer program bago sya magstart ng formal schooling para hindi mabigla and you could assess also kung kaya na ng baby mo. I enrolled may panganay to a summer fun school when he was 3yrs. and 8mons. na di kame nagmali na ienroll sya sa school ininjoy niya muna pagiging baby niya sa house.  :D actually we thought din na parang medyo late na yata kase ngayon as early as 2yrs old pinag aaral na, but in my son's case di naman naging problem he learned fast naman sa school like recognizing letters and numbers  ;D

My daughter is already 4 years old.  I want her to be physically, mentally and emotionally ready before going to school.
Ito problema ko ngayon, nag inquire ako sa STC for Kinder dahil 5yo na siya next year, hindi daw pwede dahil walang educational background.  Hindi ko naman naisip yan kasi nung time ng eldest ko, at the age of 4 naka pasok na siya sa big school without educational background (nursery etc.)

I am looking for a preschool for her.  So far nag inquire ako sa Kinderville (Quarterly P16,200 wala pang uniform and materials).  Naisip ko sayang naman yun uniform since next year hindi na niya gagamitin.  Holy Spirit Child Development Center (Mayon Street, Q.C.)  P20K lang tuition (whole year) but not that satisfied.  My last option is Vey Garcia Learning Center (Tuition Fee:  P76K, P8,500-monthly)  medyo mataas pero I will check it out.  Personal ang approach nila and I felt welcomed when I inquired.

Wala na akong choice kasi hinahabol ko ang makapasok sa big school next year ang anak ko else baka mahuli na siya.

sis mworx: I'm just really curious about what you said "nag inquire ako sa STC for Kinder dahil 5yo na siya next year, hindi daw pwede dahil walang educational background. "  What do they mean 'walang educational background'? :) Does that mean dahil hindi pa sya nag-school before? I didn't know na some schools require that pala for pre-schoolers... :( My daughter kasi is turning 4 next year pa, May. In some schools kasi, Kinder age na yon. Naku e baka hananapan din ako ng 'educational background'... e she only went to day care for 2 months, tapos stopped na kasi it wasn't working out for her.

My interpretation of the word may be very literal, pero nacurious lang talaga ako kung bakit para kailangan ng 'educational background' ng isang pre-schooler to enroll in a big school. :) I hope some of our fellow SP mommies could shed some light.

@kvs mommy: i'm not sure dun sa 'educational background', kasi sis, sa DLA, they asked for baby's card. i forgot lang kung mandatory, or optional. may entrance exam pa naman kasi di ba?

i searched for my files. yung form para sa kinder, the following are the requirements:
1. good moral character;
2. medical certificate;
3. photocopy of the nso birth certificate;
4. 2 pcs 1x1 ID pictures;
5. long brown envelope
6. photocopy of baptismal certificate
7. others ---- report card.

di ko alam kung optional or what, kasi nung nag-inquire kami as incoming nursery for the year before, wala namang required good moral, medical certificate and report card.

better call the guidance office at DLA sis. 046-4321-22; 517-1044 local 301 and 302.

@KVsmommy...iba na kasi ang curriculum ngayon because of the K12.  Pagpasok sa big school ng mga anak natin, Kinder na agad sila tapos sunod nun Grade 1 agad (sa STC ganun hindi ko alam sa ibang school) unlike before na Kinder tapos Prep saka mag Grade 1.

Wala educational background - as in first time lang niya makapasok sa school.  I think hindi pwede kung sa day care lang.  Dapat ata mag nursery muna kasi sa big school kelangan marunong na sila magsulat.

Sa LSQC where my son is studying, nung Kinder siya akala ko playing, dancing, arts, etc. e meron na silang subjects at exams kaya dapat ang bata ready na (reading & math) before going to a big school.

Ooooh I see, thanks for that sis mworx, kaya pala...

Hmmm, that gives me a lot to think about right now. :) She knows very little of writing pa lang eh, just her name, and some letters. Ang hirap pala maging bata ngayon. Hehe.

sis sweet&spice: thanks for the list sis! :) will give them a call mga late this year na siguro, Nov or Dec. :)

medyo tama si mworx, si baby, nung nag-entrance exam, required some writing....di naman reading, although advantage talaga if the child when starting as kinder -- would be able to read.

our kids should at least know how to write all the letters, and shapes. yung isang entrance exam ni baby for prep (advanced kasi), required clock-reading. mas maganda nga siguro na may playschool si baby or at least, kahit salingkit system, para she's acquainted. basta, inquire ka sis, i can't tell if this is a hard and fast rule.  ;)

Pina access ko daughter ko kanina sa Vey Garcia's Learning Center, part of the accessment yun phonetic and writing.  She didn't pass Kindergarden instead Pre-Nursery, Nursery siya.  Hahabol na lang daw.  It is according to her pace, kung mabilis siyang makapagbasa then, at 3 months time or less pwede na siya sa Kinder Level.

Any feedback about Vey Garcia's Learning Center

Mommies, If your baby s 3 y.o ano ba dapat? pre-nursery (casa/toddler class ba tawag dun) or nursery talaga?

sa may mga toddlers na babies naman na nag school, anong ginagawa ng babies niyo sa school? like what activities do they do? do they have writing ba? books? notebook? singing? dancing? Di ko mahanap kasi sa google ang curriculum for toddlers or pre-nursery... TIA
