mga mommies im proud to say na my daughter sophie just turned 2 last june pero she can read a hundred words na. alam din niya alphabet, numbers, animals and colors. she sings a lot of nursery rhymes na din though medyo bulol pa. she doesnt go to school yet. ako po ang nagtyaga magturo sa kanya. big help yon your baby can read na dvds. we watch it together4 atleastonce a day. even ako nagugulat sa development niya. fast learner kasi sya. plan ko enroll sya sa play school muna next summer for socialization purposes. actually Sophie learned to spell her name when she was 1year and 7months even yon spelling ng frog she knows na. i think early training in a fun way really helps my daughters cognitive development. toddlers like them kasi learn more through experience.

My eldest (he's now 19!) started nursery when he was already 5 years old. Kasi when i askes him before kung kelan sya mag-school lagi nyasinasabi pag-5 na daw sya. My second naman (she's already 14) started kinder when she was 4 but i let her do prep twice kasi feeling ko di pa sya ready for big sxhool. Monitor mo din lang sis if you think your baby is ready na. I believe kasi na nasa readiness ang eagernesa ng bata ang pagstart ng schooling, mahirap yung parang napipilitan lang sya.

Hi! Yung eldest son ko, also turned 3 years old last March. Ngayon naka-enrol sya sa summer class sa isang preschool center near our home. I think okay yun para di sya masyadong naiinip sa bahay and nakakapagsocialize pa sya with the other kids of his age. Para mabawasan din ang pagiging mahiyain niya kapag nakaka-meet ng ibang mga tao and also para kapag school year na talaga hindi yung saka pa lang sya mag-aadjust. Monday-Thursday lang ang pasok niya, 2hrs a day. So far, sa tingin ko naman ay nag-eenjoy sya lalo na kapag umuuwe sya na may star sa kamay hehe.

Hello Mommies,

My daughter started schooling when she was 2.7 years old. We first enrolled to on of the summer programs at A-Plus International School in Alabang since we're from the south. We were happy about their programs so my husband and I decided to officially enrolled her for this school year.

For parents living in the south, who are looking for a good school within the are, we are happy to recommend this school for your kids.

You may check their website http://www.aplus-is.com/

Good Morning Super Parents!

My first born son is 3 years old and 9 months pero pag tinatanong ko sya if he wants to go to school, he always says, "Ayaw!" with conviction. I sent him to summer classes last may kaso di niya rin natapos dahil sa tingin ko masyadong maaga yung classes but he enjoyed it naman. Pag nasa loob na sya ng room, sya yung pinaka enthusiastic doon at sya yung lagi natatwag ni Teacher kahit di sya masyadong matatas magsalita. His quizzes fair well din, mga hanggang 2-3 mistakes lang nagagawa niya since di pa sya refined magsulat. Saka gustong gusto niya yung dancing and singing activities nila. So my husband and I decided na i retard muna yung plan namin na ipasok sya sa school. Tutal naman, marunong naman na sya. He can count up to 200, he knows shapes and letters and colors, and mga animals. Marami na sya alam dahil sa panunuod niya ng pre school shows sa Nickelodeon at Disney Junior. Kampante naman ako na in time, maeenganyo din syang pumasok sa school. This isn't just his time yet. Pag ready na sya, we will know naman, diba?

Reading started as bedtime routine. Binabasahan ko sila ng bedtime stories. Nung na familiar na sila sa letters and reading kaka nood ng videos ng sesame street, then we started taking turns in reading sentences and paragraphs, minsan dialogue ng characters sa story books.
Writing and coloring is supervised. Got age appropriate activity books for this.

I would suggest play school or day care agad instead of tutor para yung social skills matutunan niya din and ma-expose siya sa classroom set up wherein she will learn to get along with her classmates, work as a group and learn to follow directions and recognize authority in an environment other than her own home.
Inquire nalang po kayo sa pre-school na papasukan ng bata. Most of them accept 3 year olds. My bunso was 2&1/2 when he started school. 1&1/2 hrs lang ang class nila noon.
Do let us know how it goes :)

Hi mommies. I am a teenage mom and I just graduated. My husband is the only one working right now for I still review for my upcoming licensure for teachers exam. My baby girl is turning 3 years old next year. I wonder if is she really ready for school? For nursery? Is it really beneficial for my kid to start in preschool? Because I remembered before, kinder lang ang sinimulan ko.. and yung mom ng husband ko is keep on saying to us na we should not rush our baby to get older, she should enjoy being baby and whatsoever...

Also, can you please suggest me a school around pasig which can help mold my daughter and can give her quality education plus with a clean and friendly environment?
For a budget of less than 30k per year for preschool or kinder? Inclusion of books and miscellaneous? Thanks.
