mukhang ok na pero sympre dont expect na very accommodating sila now. mag singapore ka na lang muna universal studios. mga nov ka na lang baka ok na masyado pa fresh sa memory nila yung nangyari e. or macau kaya pwede rin

we traveled to Hongkong and Macau a week after the hostage drama.  they were very accommodating despite the undertaking.

by the way, if you want to travel to Hongkong, just visit the website of their Hongkong Tourism Board for complete information.

we traveled there with 2 kids in tow.  we didn't get any tour package, we just book everything online.  researched the places we wanted to go through their tourism board, and viola!  we had a smooth-sailing trip to Hongkong and Macau that the kids enjoyed.

here are some of my suggestions.

1.  visit the Hongkong Tourism Board website.  from their you can get idea on places that's ideal for your family to visit or for you to shop on
2.  plan your itinerary.  how long will you stay there?  this is important in planning what places you can visit.
3.  book your flights.  book your hotel as well.  online booking is much convenient.  the tourism board also suggests which hotel suites you that you can afford.
4. if you want to go sight-seeing or shopping, leave the kids behind.  they won't appreciate the sights especially the preschoolers.  they will just get bored and tired.
5.  if traveling with a child, bring a handy stroller.  this has helped a lot with our last travel even in disneyland and ocean park.
6.  take the train (MTR) and memorize the exits.  i find this the easiest, the fastest and the most convenient mode of transportation there.  sans the traffic and a lot of transfers.  you can get to your destinations hours before than taking a cab or a bus.  not just easy, it's also affordable.
7.  if you opt to take the train as your transportation, buy the octopus card.  aside from train use, you can use this card to purchase from their stores, ride the bus, and buy tickets.  we only used it for our transportations though.  but we were able to collect the refund at the airport.
8.  bring lots of water in disneyland and ocean park.  a bottle of water costs a lot there inside.  and the weather is much too humid than ours here.

this is all for now...
should you have any questions on costs and other destinations, i'd be willing to share with you.

these are our destinations in hongkong, mostly for the kids.
Day 1 am-arrival; started strolling in the afternoon
1. Hongkong Science Museum.  kids can play with everything displayed inside, and learn at the same time.
the museum is located at Tsim Sha Tsui, one of the shopping districts in Hongkong
2.  Symphony of Lights - but we were not able to watch from the Bauhinia Square (Hongkong Island).  the kids were too tired from the flight.  so we went back to the hotel

Day 2Disneyland

Day 3
Macau - don't miss this sites
a.  Macau Tower
b.  Senado Square
c.  The Ruins of St. Paul's - so breathtaking
d.  The Venetian Macau Resort Hotel - shop! shop! shop! and ride the Gondola or play in the Casino!!!

Day 4
am
1.  The Peak - via the Peak Tram.  you can see the view of Hongkong and Kowloon atop the Victoria Peak
2.  while at the peak, drop by at Madame Tussauds,  and have your picture taken with your favorite celebrities (in wax of course)
pm
3.  Ocean Park.  but if you want to visit the whole park, start in the morning.  don't miss to ride the cable car from one side of the park to the other.

Day 5
our departure

Hello mommies, I'm planning to have my son's 5th birthday by May next year in HK sana. Bonding time na din with his daddy, Just want to know how much kaya ang budget namin for that, because I will be starting to save up na. Just 1 adult and 1 kid (inclusive na ang plane ticket and maybe 2 days in HK, preferably 1 day in Disneyland kasi yun talaga ang hiling ng kiddo ko and the other day maybe somewhere that my kid will like too).. Thanks to those who will reply,I'd greatly appreciate it. :)
