ako naman first time ko pinas swim ang baby ko nung 1 year na siya. takot kasi ako na baka kung ano ano masagap niya sa pool nung mas maliit siya, praning mommy pa naman ako. tapos ngayong 2 na siya, lagi na sya nagswim. her dad is teaching her hoew nad dhe loves it.

@sis ainge88, anong brand to sis? kasi gamit ko sunblock ni ate nivea for kids..iniisip ko if bibilhan ko pa si baby ng iba..meron bang brand specifically for babies?

I saw a documentary on teaching babies how to swim.  They would literally throw the baby into the swimming pool, and lo and behold, the baby would swim dog-paddle style and float!  The documentary explained that it is because babies after all used to live in liquid when they were in their mommies' tummies!.

We tried that with our son at 9 months old and he did the same thing.  He floated up, swimming dog paddling.

He is now an adult.  No he is not an athletic swimmer.  But he knows how to swim.

My baby swam on her 6th month birthday! We went to a resort na may baby pool and we made sure na walang chlorine yung baby pool. They were kind enough to fill out the baby on the spot, so we are sure na walang cholrine and bago yung water... 

@mommy mari -  the resort above i mentioned is Triple 8 sa calamba, laguna.

Generally it's best to have swimming lessons when the baby is strong enough to hold his head and sit up and roll around by himself. That's about 6 months but do remember that milestones are different for each child

My baby's first time to swim will be tomorrow. We are going to Laguna for a family bonding. May hot or warm spring naman so no problem na baka malamigan siya. But for precautionary measure, i'll bring her meds. She's more than 6 months now. She loves bathing. Hope mag-enjoy siya with her new experience.
