my last check up with my OB after a gave birth, sabi niya balik daw ako after 6mos for a pap smear. kelangan ba tlaga un? last time ako nagpa pap smear was yung first postnatal check up ko. pero sabi ng mom ko pag nag 40yrs old tska lang dapat regular magpa papsmear. necessary ba talaga yun at my age..which is 26?

Same din sinabi ng OB ko though di na ako sure kung 6 months yun after ko manganak or later pa. I did go back and nagpa-pap smear ako pero di ko na nakuha yung results.

mommies, pap smear is important. nabasa that it is a must for sexually active women, may anak or wala, young or not so young. ideal is every 6 months. for those naman na di active, from 35 yrs up they also have to undergo pap smear every six months din. this way, ma-check if we're safe from uterine cancer.

hi mommies... yes, pap smear is important for us women, in that way we will know if there are any abnormalities in our cervix or reproductive organs.

also, there's a new vaccine that lessen or avoid the chance of cervical cancer, d ko lang po alam kung ano tawag, but ask your ob-gyne about that... i think this is helpful lalo na sa may mga lahi ng cancer...

Indeed it's true, for us women to have our pap smear most specially on our reproductive age.  Due to the advise of my ob I am already through with my second dose of cervical vaccine called cervarix.  Although, may kamahalan kailangan kasi babae tayo.  It compose of 3 shots of vaccine.  At matatapos ako na ako ng 3rd shot ko this coming August.

hi mga mom tama po sila mom joed,momi rmi,and mom meang,my ob told me na kailangan daw yun talaga para malaman kung meron ka din mga infection at ako since na umiinom ako nang pills 2-3times a year ako nag papa pap smear ,,
Mom rmi,,talaga matanung nga yang shot na yan sa ob ko kaya lang its quite expensive pala hehe pero ok lang kung para sa health naman natin tayo pa naman mga babae ang prone sa mga infection na yan ,,,again thanks for the info!!!!!!

anytime mitch... mga mommies if you need referral sa ob puwede ko kaya refer sa ob ko kaya lang male siya (actually gay  )... pero kung vaccine lang naman ok lang... yun kc ob ng sister ko 6500 ang charge.

hi.. honga mahal talaga... and according from a friend, this vaccine can be given to girls as young as 9 yrs old. kasi there are two types daw. the GARDASIL - to be given daw to girls from 9-26 yrs old tpos yun ngang CERVARIX for women up to 55 yrs old naman.
no need for booster shots in the fute basta it will be given in 3 doses/shots.

pap smear,sa pagkakatanda ko nasaktan ako dito?haha,di kc ako relax nun e,yung ba yon o yung pag check kung ilang cm ka na before manganak?

youngmon hindi po ata pap smear yung kukuhanan ka nang specimen parang  yung puerta mo tas ipapatest yun to know kung may infection ka  ;)yun ang alam ko yung sinasabi mo naman na pag track kung ilang cm na during labor time IE yata ang tawag dun,

ah,yun nga,every check up ko nung last trisem ko may kasama nang IE.nag pa pap smear din ako to check kung may infection,yun ang hindi masakit. required pala satin yon kahit tapos na manganak or hindi man buntis?di na kc ako nag pa pap smear after giving birth.
