;D siguro kasi i find it boring kapag hindi colorful yung nagagawa ko.

Yes! So ako yung late ng 1 year. :D
Pangit nga ang sulat ko noon so my teacher suggested na may practice kami with scissors para maayos yung motor skills ko at matuto ako mag-follow ng lines. It worked naman. Umayos na daw penmanship ko.

don't fret, mommy. iba-iba talaga pacing ng mga bata. you can try to make writing not seem like 'writing'. make them more fun. yung anak ko din tamad nung una, sa grade1 kasi pinapa-copy na sila ng notes which they did not do during pre-school. kaya minsan hindi niya natatapos yung mga notes niya. nagpractice kami ng writing, he's into pokemon right now, and i encouraged him to make his own 'pokedex' or yung encyclopedia ng pokemon. everyday i let him write sentences about the pokemon he likes, una one a day hanggang sa naging two and more na, nag-enjoy na siya. :)

Naku sis, okay lang yan, I even know someone na natuto magwrite eh 7 na ata or 8 years old. For all we know, once na matuto siya magsulat, kung saan saan naman siya magsusulat all over the house!  ;D Just kidding sis!  :D

Nevertheless, I told him na very good pa din sya pero he should practice more sa writing.

iba iba naman ng pacing ang mga bata, we can't force them to be ready just because others their age are doing it na, baka mapressure lang sila at lalo tamarin o magkatroon ng insecurity di ba. boys talaga kung minsan at that age eh medyo behind sa girls lalo na sa pagsusulat kasi medyo may kalikutan. nung nasa day care pa anak ko 3 y/o siya nun sabi ng teacher niya di daw talaga pwede pilitin sumulat ang bata kasi like any muscle in our body need lang paunti unti na exercise kasi pag bigla masasaktan sila. ikaw nga subukan mo kung matagal ka ng hindi sumusulat probably because lagi computer ang kaharap try mo now sumulat ka mga ten pages ng madalian kung hindi manakit kamay mo, how much more mga babies natin. now grade 2 na anak ko pangit pa rin sumulat hehe oh well he excels in math and science and reading naman eh, talaga lang siguro iba iba strengths ng mga anak natin, merung kinder pa lang kagaling ng magdrawing at lettering merun naman katulad ko na nakatapos na ng college di pa rin marunong.

I also have a 4 year old brother. Sobrang tamad when it comes to studying.

Huhu! Eto prob ko ngayon. My son likes to read and is even good at it but dreads writing. I tried everything I know and we end up stressed and exhausted. Sabi ng DevPed niya his fingers are different. Masyadong malambot. We need to use pencil grippers. He has to learn to cope soon kasi pag balik sa school puro sulat na ang gagawin he might get left behind.
But even with the pencil aid, hirap pa rin siya sa paghawak pa lang it's already a struggle. What I don't understand is, he can manage to write kung nakapatong yung kamay ko sa kamay niya but I'm not really directing his strokes. When I lift my hand nahihirapan daw siya.
We'd have a writing session 20 mins, 2x/day if possible. May reward system na yun but it doesn't seem enough.

Mommy Jazz, what are pencil grippers. Na-intriga naman ako
I'm teaching writing ngayon kay Miggy. Dati kasi i'll just give him a pen and a paper and write whatever he likes.
Pero ngayon kailangan talagang step by step kasi baka may makaligtaan ako.

We do lines muna as suggested dito sa thread na 'to.
Paano, hobby niyang magbura. Dry-erase markers kasi yung gamit so after one line buburahin niya.

These are 2 kinds of pencil grip. The small one is around P30. It's rubber-soft like an eraser. Some book stores sell this kind. The big one is P120 I bought from a therapy center. It feels like silicon nipple.

Medyo OK na kami. It took 1 month practice and now graduate na kami. Now my boy uses the triangular bodied pencil. Soon normal pencil na.
