my son got cough din when he was 3 months our pedia prescribe bricanyl syrup and benadryl (kc sa gabi mas malala yung ubo) less than a week the cough was gone na. refrain na patulugin si baby on his back kc na tratrap yung pawis sa likod ibaling mo sya from side to side para hindi pagpawisan ang likod.

one more,i read an article to use vicks sa gabi pag matutulog na siya, apply it sa feet niya then put socks on.i tried it first night hindi umepekto, second night, effective na,the whole night himbing ng tulog niya, the next morning less na ubo niya, did it the third night, the next morning lesser coughs at next few days nalelessen talaga at tuluyan na nawala.sayang nga late ko na yun nalaman, nagawa ko sa baby ko yun fourth day na ng ubo niya, kung nalamn ko lang yun ng mas maaga, first day palang ng ubo niya ginawa ko na.just try it and u will see the effects gradually. ;) hope this helps.

he took ambroxol for 5days. then yung alnix which he takes at night lang for seven days so till tomorrow pa po un. Yeah effective yung sa vicks. Ginagawa ko un kay baby and all-night ala nga ciang ubo kasi during daytime naman umaattack yung cough niya.. I can't have him wear socks all-day and all-night long kz napakapawisin niya! He sweats a lot talaga! HE's 9 and a half months old na and sobrang likot.. Sbi ng mom ko, baka daw may bali kaya un pinahilot niya. Di ako pabor sa hilot hilot kaso you think it really works?

hi mommy lovesqniarthur. wala naman din mawawala kung papahilot mo si baby. ganun siguro talaga mga older moms mapamahiin pagdating sa sakit ng bata. akala lagi may bali. ok din ambroxol pero nagconsult ako sa gen. physician namin once kasi ayaw din gumaling ni baby sa ambroxol. sabi niya... usually daw effect ng ambroxol sa baby e it would make him cough more. kaya nagswitch kami sa antibiotics and antihistamine. consult ur pedia kung tingin mo talaga d effetive yung gamot ni baby.  ;D

if ambroxol doesn't work, tell the doctor para maresetahan ka ng mas matapang dun na eepekto.ang ginamit ko kc loviscol lang, seven days,at hindi na ko nag extend pa dun/hindi kc maganda sa katawan ng baby na maexpose ng matagal sa mga antibiotics, immature pa liver nila.sis, yung vicks sa paa ni baby with socks,sa gabi lang,no need to do it at daytime.ganun talaga, tapusin mo muna sis yung seven days na gamutan before judging na di nga effective yung gamot.ganun din kc ako non, tayong mga moms impatient when health of our baby ang nakataya.four days ko pa nga lang ginagamot si baby non inis na ko kc di effctive yung gamot, yun pala u really have to wait for seven days kung yuna ng reseta ng doctor.kung tingin mo malala talaga ubo niya,or may doubts ka talaga sa gamot, then u may rush your baby sa pedia niya.sa hilot naman, sis massage therapy lang yan.malaki maitutulong ng mommy's touch sa baby.no need to get an expert or albularyo, personally,i dont believe in hilot sa bata, baka lalo lang ma misplace yung bali, mommy's touch lang talaga, every night before matulog, with baby oil or lotion, massage mo lang si baby lightly. ;)

yes,you really have to be patient... and add ko lang po, to prevent cough, avoid na matuyuan ng pawis si baby. after bath, apply mild baby powder on baby's skin (avoiding the face) to keep him fresh & dry.check lagi kung basa na ng pawis....  :)

my daughter had a very serious cough and cold na hindi ko talaga alam where it came from kasi hindi ko talaga pinababayaang basa ang likod niya...i had her checked by our pedia and found out she is allergic to baby powder, kaya stop muna powder. we were advised to either give her saline solution sa nebulizer if it worsens, para lang makahinga cia, but the pedia never recommended medication. i researched somewhere, i can't remember where it was and it says something about recalling some cough and cold medicines for children??? and then i subscribed to a newsletter from dr. sears and read this article:

http://askdrsears.com/html/8/T081000.asp

hindi pala talaga advisable magbigay ng cough syrup for children below 2...aun lang...  ;D

like sunmom's pedia, our pedia don't prescribe medicine kaagad pag may cough ang kids ko kc nga dahil dun sa study ng side effects of medicine with ibuprofen, Acetaminophen... kaya ang advise lang is drink plenty of water and wag patutuyuan ng pawis sa likod and for clogged nose drops lang ng salinase... unless may phlegm then she prescribes mucosolvan and antibiotic (can't remember po kung ano, check ko later ;) ) for 7 seven days

just last sunday nagkasipon c bernice and konting ubo pero d naman straight un ubo niya kaya lang kahapon walang ganang kumain and c jared may sipon na rin... wahhhh  :(... kaya tmrw pa check-up na kami...

Dapat laging may sapin sa likod ang bata,24 hrs, lalo na kung active ang kiddo niyo.si macky, super likot, kaya lagimay sapin sa likod then from time to time check mo kung basa na yung sapin sa likod,so palit ulit ng sapin, iba pa yung sapin sa ulo, lagi lang dapat naka ready yn and wipe it dry everytime nagpapawis ang ulo ni baby.ang pagpapawis naman ng ulo si normal because of their immature sweat galnds.

as for the medicine, long term exposure po ang nakasasama, like if the instruction is for seven days lang, dapat wala ng extension dun at may certain dosage po for that, for example, .3ml 3 x a day,so hinahati talaga siya para moderate ang intake ng med.dont be afraid to follow you pedia, graduate po yan ng medicine course at nag take pa po yan ng specialty under pediatrics,so alam niya ang nirereseta niyang gamot na safe sa baby natin.at first, takot din ako sundin yung pedia kung san nag pa check up si macky(lalo pa hindi niya yun pedia kc out of town ang pedia niya), who prescribed loviscol, pero sinunod ko din kc i know pedia yan at hindi naman yan mag rereseta ng gamot na pang 4 yr old na,in the end, tama siya, gumaling si macky after medication with lots of water. ;)

mommies try ito but this is for older kids ha? mga tipong 3 and up.  pag malapit na maluto yung kanin, put 3 small oregano leaves on top of the rice, thenr emove after about 3-5 mins. squeeze the leaves to extract about 1 small teaspoon, bigay sa bata, mae-expel niya phlegm  niya.  i gave yancy oregano medicine for about 2 days at after, wala na syang ubo.  hot calamansi is not adviseable kasi pag hot, naluluto lang yung calamansi, warm calamansi is okey but in small doses lang.  pero, on the safe side, check with your pedia pag all-natural medication gagamitin.  my pedia kasi also believes in natural medication kaya ok sa kanya yung oregano for simple coughs.

Same with me, I am using oregano din eversince...6 leaves will do.. i wash the leaves and extract the juice para un yung papainom ko k baby.Since grown yung oregano in my own garden, i feel secure n clean talaga siya. Plus i also squeeze 1 calamansi para d gnong bitter yung oregano. After a day or two, lalabas n yung phleghm niya and my son's ok na.  ;)
