my eldest, micah, was born prematurely at 7 months.  so since she stayed in the hospital nursery for 44 days, she got used to the bright lights 24 hours a day.  so until now, she's scared of total darkness.  so we maintained a night light beside the bed for her.

with iza, she can fall asleep without any lights on.

may nabasa akong article about baby care (from ireland yong handbook) na better let your baby sleep with dim light...babies can sleep well daw with dim light...kaya with my jana, since newborn, dim light talaga kami kaya now, di sya makakatulog pag bright light.

sis j.u.m., masasanay din ang baby mo, just assured her lang na she's ok kahit madilim kz andyan kayo...at saka pag masasanay kz sila with ilaw, mahirap na yong alisin pag malaki na sila at it is advisable to sleep with complete darkness for melatonin production to inhibit the growth of cancer cell.

I read early on that a routine should be set especially when it comes to sleeping. So when my baby girl was around 2 months, I played lullabies while breastfeeding her and turned down the music when she's already asleep. Kaya nga pag nagbbrown-out napapraning ako eh. Di ko kasi siya nakikita. :) Paranoid ako sa insekto. So okay na okay ang dim light. :)

Thnx sa thread na to, kasi super hirap talaga patulugin ng baby ko especially pag nagigising sya at the middle of the night.. But since nung nabasa ko ito last week, i tried na patulugin si baby with dim light.. Now, ok na sya.. Eventhough nagigising sya pag hating gabi, pag nakikita niya na madilim pa, humihingi na lang siya ng milk then sleep na ulet.. unlike before na mag lalaro  pa sya at tipong 1hr pa bago matulog ulet.. :)

When lila turn 7 mos nag dimlight na kami.

For example maghilamos bago matulog, sing ng lullaby, dede and dim light or lamp shade bago matulog. Just give her lost of hugs and kiss and reassurance that you will be there for her.
