  • Ever since the premiere of the Disney+ show The Mandalorian, everyone has been raving over the character of Baby Yoda, including the staff at UPMC Magee-Women’s Hospital in Pennsylvania, U.S., who dressed up their newborns in Baby Yoda-inspired Christmas hats and onesies!

The hospital shared photos of the babies lying in their beds wearing knitted hats with the iconic green ears (knitted by a nurse!) and onesies with the Yoda-esque phrase “Cute I am.”

The nursery was also decked out in space-themed décor including a large poster saying “Merry we must be,” alien posters, and a Christmas tree.

“It’s a holiday tradition here at Magee, dressing up our babies in the nursery in festive attire,” the hospital wrote on their Facebook post. “This year, these babies are out of this galaxy cute!”

In an interview with the TV network WPVI-TV, staff members at the hospital discussed their viral photos.

“It’s wonderful to see our parents look at their babies in these adorable little outfits and share them with everyone. It’s a great experience for them,” chief nursing officer Patty Genday shared, HuffPost reports.

The hospital staff also revealed that they have been doing this tradition of dressing up the newborns in cute costumes for years. For instance, earlier this year, in celebration of World Kindness Day, they dressed the babies in outfits inspired by the late Mister Rogers. They even surprised Mister Rogers’ wife Joanne — and she loved it!

May the Force be with you this holiday season!
