  • Raising kids can get expensive, so it’s best to be practical about the items you buy for your baby. But we bet you have a hidden wish list filled with things that you likely will never get for yourself (because they are expensive), but you are secretly hoping to receive, anyway.

Well, we’ve compiled a list of some of the best products we saw this year that we think are worth the splurge. Yes, some of these items may seem like a luxury, but we believe the return of investment is high — considering it will reduce mom’s stress levels and save time (so she can have more time for herself!). And again, it’s Christmas!

Here are 7 gifts new moms will love to receive this Christmas.

    NoseFrida Aspirator

Mothers might think of this as an afterthought when compiling their baby essentials, but it’s a handy tool when baby has colds and gets uncomfortable due to a clogged nose. Many moms over at our Smart Parenting Village recommend it, too!

It’s safer than traditional bulb aspirators as it does not enter baby’s nose, but it seals the whole nostril. You’re still getting the best suction possible while getting the mucus out of the nose. Available here for Php1,000.

    Combi Quick Warmer

Some babies are sensitive to cool temperatures and may be irritated with the feel of cold wipes on their skin. The Combi Quick Warmer heats any pack of baby wipes in around 30 minutes, so your baby is comfortable come diaper changing time.

Tip: Moms can also use it for a quick self-care session. You know, like those hot towels they use at the spa? Instant refresher! Available here for Php3,299.75.

    Ergobaby 360 Baby Carrier

If you prefer babywearing, you want a versatile (award-winning) carrier that will secure your little one but will also help distribute his weight evenly so you can carry him for hours without complaints.

Ergobaby is super useful when traveling! There are four positions to choose from: on your back, hip, front inward, or front outward. The extra-wide adjustable waistband gives lumbar support, and the padded shoulder straps provide cushioning for you. The bucket seat and sleeping hood are useful features, especially during long daytime walks. It can carry a weight of up to 33 pounds and can be used for babies ages 4 to 36 months. (You’ll need an infant insert to use with newborns.) Available here for Php10,499.75.

    Beaba Babycook Solo

If you’re committed to making baby food once your little one is ready for solids, then this can be a real timesaver. It’s especially helpful if you don’t know how to cook.

It functions as a steamer, blender, warmer, and defroster. It has a timer so you can steam food like meat and vegetables and just leave it on the processor without worrying about overcooking it. Since you’re busy, you’re also free to do other things because you’re not waiting for it to cook.

The blender can also puree fruits and vegetables in less time. Since you’re using just one item to prepare everything, cleaning up is also quicker. Moms like it because they can use it even when their babies grow up! Available here for Php10,500.

    Foldaway Bumper Mat

This bumper mat is celebrity mom-approved — Iya Villania has been using this for her firstborn, Primo, until now! It is able to transform into a baby pad, a bed, a table, a ball pit, and a playpen. As your baby becomes independent, you can slowly open up each side of the mat to create an open play space.

It really grows with your baby and can be used until he’s around 7 years old. Plus, it’s easy to pack and there’s now a travel bag so you can take it with you on-the-go. Available here for Php15,999.75.

    Aller Plasma Sterilizer

Your wife will probably have a bottle sterilizer on her wish list, but why not get one that the whole family can use? There are a lot of options to choose from, but this particular one is a ‘no heat, no water, no chemical process’ sterilizer. That means you can put heat-sensitive items inside like those made of plastic, silicone, leather, or wood without damaging it.

How it works: the tub releases charged plasma that can deactivate the DNA and kill 99.9% of harmful bacteria on the surface. It has a large capacity at 70 liters so you can sterilize in bulk, or sterilize big items like pillows, linen and beddings, shoes, and bags! Available here for Php16,000.

Moms are great multitaskers, but when the baby is awake, time seems to stop. The Combi Fealetto can help. It’s a swing bed that has a 5-angle adjustment, so you can use it as a high chair and the baby can relax and watch you while you work. If he feels sleepy, you can recline it, choose from the 7 lullabies and use the auto-swing function to make him fall asleep faster. There are wheels on this thing so you can move baby anywhere in the house and keep a watchful eye on him as he sleeps.

Another thing we love: there’s a detachable storage box that can hold diapers, clothes, wipes, and powder so it can also be used as a changing station. The payout is sulit! Available here for Php31,449.79.
