With a venue like the World Trade Center, the Big Bad Wolf (BBW) Book Sale certainly had our attention as it promised two million books with massive price drops. And during VIP day, it was easy to see why you can easily fill your cart with 20 books in the first hour alone (read our story here). But, in case you can't make it that far, we highly recommend you head to Araneta Center, Cubao where National Book Store (NBS) is having its "Book Blowout" sale until February 28.
NBS is giving Big Bad Wolf a run for its money with its selection of current titles — we're talking today's bestsellers at 60 to 80% off. And the discounts apply to their online store! Now it's hard to put a price on that convenience.
I practically cried because there were some books I just bought less than three months ago at full price. I bought Hello Universe, an award-winning children's novel at Php649 — it now retails for Php129.75 online! Both BBW and NBS had the Harry Potter novelty books at slashed prices, but only NBS had the pocketbooks at 20%!
