Rochelle Pangilinan’s daughter Shiloh Jayne is turning 7 months on September 24, 2019, and the first-time mom had been advised early on by her baby’s pediatrician to introduce solid food to her little one.
“Ibang klaseng happiness na naman na hindi ko ma-explain,” she told SmartParenting.com.ph while recalling the first time she fed Baby Shiloh with organic probiotic baby cereal.
Rochelle made sure she captured on video the first time Baby Shiloh had a taste of pureed fruits and vegetables, such as apple, squash, and broccoli. “Excited kami makita ang reaction niya lagi,” she said.

“Sa una, mahirap,” she said. “Napakasakit!
Rochelle has this to say to those in a similar situation: “Sa lahat ng mommies na nahihirapan, huwag kayong bibitaw!

But she doesn’t worry much because her husband, actor Arthur Solinap takes care of their baby, and they’ve decided not to hire a yaya.

Rochelle feels lucky that Arthur is, like her, hands-on in bringing up Baby Shiloh. “Magaling siyang magpatulog,” she happily reported.
As for her getting back to her pre-pregnancy figure, Rochelle said she hasn’t reached her ideal weight yet. But she’s quite determined to achieve her weight goal eat with healthy food and regular exercise (“Puwede kang maglinis ng bahay o ng kotse, or mag-akyat-baba sa hagdan,” she pointed out).
She gave these pieces of advice for new moms who are likewise trying to lose the extra pounds post-baby weight: “First, ask your doctor kung puwede ka nang mag-exercise. Then disiplinahin ang sarili. Bawal mainip sa result. Sipag at tiyaga lang.”
