Finally! Solenn Heussaff dropped the video their followers have been waiting for: a close-up Instagram reel of her second child Maëlys Lionel giggling and being her cute self for a good one minute and 19 seconds!
Netizens said the first few seconds gave it away - the moment Maëlys opened her eyes, they confirmed that she is the girl version of her father, Nico Bolzico!
"Always making us smile, Maëlys," Solenn wrote in the caption.
Celebrities were delighted with the little girl's video.Isabelle Daza said, "The cutest!" Camille Coremarked, "Omg a cutie."
One user said, "When the "France" daughter is your carbon copy," then tagged Nico and added the hashtag, the irony. Another one said, "Her stare was like Nico's!"
Nico first announced the birth of their second daughter in December last year. Aside from Maelys' birth vlog and occassional snaps, this is the first time Solenn shared a video showing the full facial features (and fluffy thighs) of their 3-month-old daughter on social media.
A 2018 study cited by Very Well Family found that when a newborn looks like their dad at birth, they become healthier after a year. Fathers tend to spend more time with their babies when they "see themselves" in their little ones.
"The research found that fathers spent an average of 2.5 more days with the child if the baby looked more like them. Researchers theorize that these frequent father visits allow for greater caregiving, supervision, and support for the child's health and economic needs," the Very Well Family concluded.
Nevertheless, a baby's appearance may change over time, but the love and affection of their parents should be consistent. Read here how dads can be a more present parent.
