Little Leopald "Leo" Wilbur Reppond, who is four months old, sees the world differently from most people. This is because he has the disorder Oculocutaneous Albinism. Aside from affecting the color of his hair, skin and eyes, he is also left with severely impaired vision.
He's never seen anything clearly since he was born. Captured in the video above is the first time he's given glasses. Along with it is the tear-jerking moment he sees his mom's face for the first time.
His mom, Erin, can be seen fitting a pair of glasses over his head. Once they're in place, she then calls to him saying, "Hi, honey. Sweetie?"
It takes a moment for him to realize what's happening but when he finally makes eye contact with her his face lights up and the most precious smile spreads across his cheeks.
"I was overwhelmed with emotion. It’s just very touching. You cannot anticipate how you’re going to feel when something like that happens. It was very heartwarming," dad David, who was behind the camera, told Daily Mail.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful moment with us, mom and dad.
