Q: Does my seven year old child still need to take multivitamins if he is already drinking milk three times a day and is not a picky eater (he even eats his veggies)?
A: Multivitamin supplements are intended for mineral or vitamin deficiency conditions as seen in children who are chronically ill or those who are picky eaters. If your child eats a balanced healthy diet, eats fruits and vegetables and drinks milk, he does not need multivitamin supplements.
