The world is becoming a better place everyday. A Canadian clothing brand is selling specially made clothing line for girls who have complex physical care needs.
Taylor Hart Designs, who has set up shop on Etsy, has adorable dresses, jackets and shirts on sale for girls aged 2 to 5 years old with the Jolie Hart clothing line. What’s special about their clothes is that they have openings, pockets, extra ties and detachable parts specifically made for kids in wheelchairs, who have sensory processing disorder or are attached to feeding and oxygen tubes.
“I don’t believe that anyone who struggles with healthcare needs should have to worry about their clothes and when we’re talking about kids – they need to stand out for their personality and not their illness,” says store owner, designer and maker of the clothes Taylor Byrom.
Byrom was inspired to create the clothing line when she was volunteering at a children's hospital. There, she came up with a survey for families who had children with complex-care-needs to find how she could create clothes that would suit the kids. She came up with designs, made prototypes and had them tested out.
The clothes have adjustable necklines, pockets and openings for tubes, removable backs to reduce bulk for wheelchair-seated children and soft tags that don’t irritate the skin.
Plus, they’re utterly adorable and don’t stand out as clothes for people with physical care needs.
