According to illinoislearning.org, planning ahead for a smooth first day includes letting your child start a preschool “countdown” by marking the days off the calendar. Involve him in collecting his school supplies and letting him choose his “first day outfit.”

5. How can I show support to my child’s preschool?

Participating in school activities is a great way to show support. Family days are excellent events to bond with the school staff and parents of other children. Schools encourage parents and  students to have fun and relaxing days while getting to know other families at the same time. Offer to give testimonials that can be posted on the school’s websites or brochures to encourage prospective enrollees as well.
