Philosophy
The E.nopi system emphasizes that an educational program is most effective when an instructor is able to customize the program itself to meet the individual needs and learning styles of each student.
Method of teaching
E.nopi aims to develop mathematical thinking by taking a more explanatory and understanding-based approach. “We teach Critical Thinking Math and have a set of criteria to follow to determine mastery and worksheet repetition,” explains Willda Tan, an E.nopi franchisee based in Baguio. “E.nopi English, on the other hand, is a comprehensive curriculum that tackles grammar, phonetics, reading comprehension, and writing, and complements a student’s reading, listening, speaking, and writing skills.” The program includes storybooks, tapes, posters, and other supplementary materials.
Ideal age to start
“The idea that a child’s brain is able to absorb all new concepts tells us that as soon as the child is developmentally ready, parents should enroll their kids in programs such as E.nopi to build a strong foundation that will help them in the future,” suggests Tan.
Program length
A child should stay in E.nopi for at least six months to yield significant development in his or her progress. However, Tan clarifies that the curriculum is designed for longer commitment, as it promotes mastery of the basic foundations in Math and English.
Fees
P1,980/month/subject, but Tan’s center gives a P200 discount if a child is enrolled in both subjects, or if two or more siblings are enrolled.
Results
Preschoolers acquire skills in Math and English that, in the future, may help them understand more complicated ideas in school and even in life.
