Raising children is hard, but ask any parent if they'd change anything and they'd surely say no. In fact, several moms and dads from our online community said becoming a parent made them better people.

So even though you don't get enough sleep, you only get to drink your coffee cold, you barely have time for yourself, and your children follow you everywhere (even the bathroom!), it's still the best job in the world.

One of our readers, mommy Zephora Jane Lingahan-Betguen, said it's hard to describe how happy they are to be parents. The only way she found she could express herself is through a heartfelt letter for her firstborn. This is the short, but sweet note she hopes her little one could read and appreciate someday.

    My firstborn Hezekiah,

That moment when I first heard your heartbeat, I knew that "love at first hearing" exists.

Every visit in the OB clinic would make my heart flutter.

Every kick, every hiccup, every movement in my womb makes me believe that life, truly, is a gift.

And when I finally laid my eyes on you, I know that there's such thing as "love at first sight."

You have redefined love for me, anak.

Ang pagmamahal pala totoong pagsasakripisyo. Pagod at puyat---kasama pala yan kapag nagmamahal.

Thank you for being you, anak.

I am proud to be called your mom.

    Your 29-year old Nanay
