Eight months into parenthood, Angelica Panganiban and her fiance Gregg Homan answered questions from their followers on their vlog, including how their sex life has been after having a baby.
With their daughter Amila Sabine co-sleeping with them for two months now, Gregg said the frequency has changed a lot, "It doesn't exist. You're lucky if we get it once a week."
He explained, "The baby's there. She is the priority. When people say when you have a baby it stops, it's true."
There are times when they really felt like being intimate, but as Angelica would say, "Minsan, parang tara, game." And then they would think of Bean and end up saying, "Parang 'di ko talaga kaya. Nakakaloka!"

On breastfeeding
Angelica shared that she is still breastfeeding their daughter, saying it is one of the greatest achievements in her motherhood journey.

"Hindi ko alam na sobra niyang sakit, na sobra niyang hirap, na sobrang dedication na ibibigay mo para mapakain mo yung anak mo, para magrow ka and makasiguro ka na healthy sya," Angge shared.
She mentioned that she plans to breastfeed Bean until she turns one and hopefully return to work by then.
Gregg, on the other hand, advised other breastfeeding moms to seek help when they encounter difficulties and pain. He witnessed moments when Angge almost gave up due to engorgement, but they sought assistance from lactation nurses. "Just hang on, it's difficult, you'll get past that difficult stage," he advised.

Dealing with postpartum struggles
The 36-year-old actress also confessed that she has been experiencing symptoms of postpartum depression. "Hindi mo alam kung kailan ka niya ihi-hit. Kailangan mong aralin ano yung pwedeng maka-trigger sa depression. Minsan simpleng words, minsan galing ka sa sobrang saya tapos biglang tatahimik."

Angge said she makes sure that she communicates her feelings with Gregg, "Hindi ko tinatago sa kanya kasi siya yung partner ko dito eh. Siya yung nakakaintindi sa akin. Bumuo kami ng bata eh. Di pwedeng ako lang. Salihan mo ako sa depression ko!"
She mentioned that the transitions in her life made her vulnerable to these feelings. "In-uproot ko yung life ko sa Manila to have a life here kasama si Gregg and makabuo kami ng family, so malaki yung nabago sa akin, sobrang laki, di ako nakakapagwork, wala yung nakasanayan kong kasama araw-araw. Sanay ako sa ingay, sanay ako sa acting, may mga iba't iba akong pinoportray na pagkatao, tapos bigla yun nawala sa akin, pwede talaga ako mabaliw," she said.

Angge shared what she does to cope with these struggles, "Kailangan mo siya sakyan positively, tingnan mo nalang yung anak mo. Kailangan mo maghanap ng masaya doon sa malungkot mong nararamdaman, bakit mo sya nararamdaman, kasi meron kang ganito ka-precious na baby, unti-unti ka namang matutuwa, though pagod ka pa din."
Gregg meanwhile helps Angge by simply being present. "Magtetext siya, "Sad ako." Uuwi ako, we go to Manila, spend time with firends, then balik na."
Angelica puts it firmly, "Give and take lang talaga."
The couple emphasized the importance of give and take in their relationship. They already hired a helper who takes care of Bean from 7 AM to 5 PM, and they also have someone to assist with chores every other day.
Nevertheless, they are enjoying their journey as parents. Angelica is looking forward to returning to work and getting married in 2024.
