Alice revealed in a previous interview that she first froze her eggs at 40 years old but was only able to conceive recently. She flew to North America to meet her daughter who was born premature, two months earlier than expected.
Alice experienced what it was like to be completely hands-on with her newborn because Covid prevented her from having family around as a support system until she and Aura flew home to the Philippines.
Aura is now walking and talking and Alice describes her as “makulit”. She said to pep.ph, “Super makulit but that’s expected!”
What’s it like being a mom to a baby in your 50s? “Kinakaya!” she answered.
Though Alice welcomed a baby for the first time in her life in her 50s, she first became a mom to her panganay Sassa, her husband’s daughter.
