    Parents always try to give the best of everything to their children — yes, even when it comes to toys. But not long after you start buying lots of toys for your little one, you'll notice that he or she likes playing with the box more than the actual toys.

    Babies don't need a lot of toys. As they grow, kids prefer toys that feed their creativity and imagination such as blocks or stacking toys they can arrange any way they want and play pretend sets that they can play with over and over again without being bored.

    Still, toys can be expensive. However, you can actually spend less on toys if you can just put some time and a little bit of work by turning cardboard boxes into the toys your children will love!

    Cardboard boxes can turn into anything, if you let your imagination run wild. Your kids will love these toys the most because you made them. There's a certain personal touch and labor of love you put into these toys for your kids. 

    They're easy to make, too! Well, at least cardboard toys are not as complicated as assembling a toy with several parts. All you need are basic art materials, such as scissors to cut cardboards into shape, any type of glue or stapler to put them together the way you want to, and some art paper or stickers to decorate your creation.
