    Ask for help.

A lot of parents think it's their sole responsibility to take care of everything at home, but It's not. It's everyone's responsibility especially if you have children that can already help you around the house.

The key is not to boss everyone around, but to ask them for help. Ask your children for a glass of water when you're thirsty. Ask for help when you are carrying a lot of things. Ask for help when you need a part of the house to be cleaned up.

This helps teach everyone responsibility and accountability.

    Expect nothing.

Not expecting anything from anyone, even your children, frees you getting disappointed.

    Be grateful.

Appreciate every bit of help that you get from your kids and don't forget to let them hear it. Show your appreciation through simple gestures like a kiss, a hug, or even a huge smile.

Love and expect nothing in return.

Let your children know (and feel) that no matter what was said or done, it will never cost your connection with them.

Make your kids feel that nothing can ever come between you and them.

    Respect how your children feel.

Do it even when you're tired and even when you feel like you do not have enough patience. Try very hard not to invalidate your children's emotions.

Instead, help them to learn how to cope and how to be resilient.

Don't judge (or compare) your kids.

Let them become the people they want to be. Love them for who they are. Try your best not to make them feel less because they're not like other children their age.

    Communicate with your kids.

Never guess or assume why they did what they did whatever it may be. Ask them to help them learn about accountability and honesty.

If someone makes a mistake, give them a chance to realize it on their own. Allow them a moment to explain.

    Be present.

It's important that your children know that you are there for them. Learn to listen without any intention of solving their problems or offering pieces of advice. Just be there.

    Be honest.

Be open when you're tired and when you need some time for yourself. Share your feelings so they also understand your vulnerabilities. Be honest about your desires and wishes.

This will help teach your kids openness.

    Let your children be themselves.

One of the best gifts you can give your kids is acceptance. When you let your children be themselves, it teaches self-acceptance.

It allows them to maximize their full potential because they believe in themselves. You don't really need to give your kids much. Believing in them and becoming their number one fan is enough.

These are only some of the few things you can do to build an unbreakable bond with your children. It will not be easy at first, especially if you're always feeling tired and overwhelmed.
