Her Business: The Baby Theory

The Idea: I wanted something nice to match my baby’s outfit and can be considered safe at the same time. That’s why my partner and I came up with the name “The Baby Theory.”

Why It’s Unique: My Tippy Toes socks are skid-proof. They encourage babies to walk and stand without slipping. The skid-proof soles allow babies to have a better grip and help them exert less effort to stand and explore. We also have a new product: Baby Wipes. It’s unique because it’s “paraben-free.” Doctors have studied cancer nodules of patients and paraben is present in these nodules. As parents, we should be aware of what our babies use. We want them to use baby-friendly products.

On Being A Mom: Of the many things I love about being a mom, my favorite is being able to spend time with my kids. For my eldest son, we spend quality time by playing, doing artwork, singing together, watching educational VCDs and going to malls. For my five-month-old baby, it’s simply by carrying him and making him smile by doing different sounds.

Advice for Aspiring Mompreneurs: Develop something different. Find a product that has an edge. In time, you will be surprised with the feedback. Customers will keep coming back for more.
