Marian Rivera Admits She Has Told Zia Many Times 'Sira Ang iPad'The mom of two shares how she handles screen time and tantrums.by Kitty Elicay .
How did she do it? “Sabi ko sira ‘yung iPad niya,” she tells members of the press during the Smart Parenting Masterclass: Toddler Expert Tips held last September 28, 2019, in partnership with Nido 3+, at Loft Coworking Philippines.
But Marian admits that there are times when gadgets can be useful, especially when traveling with the family. “Minsan, kapag kinakailangan, like mahaba ‘yung travel, ibibigay ko ‘yung phone ko sa kanya and manonood siya. But not most of the time,” she clarifies.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
At home, the mom of two is stricter about gadget use. “Maglalaro kaming dalawa, or maglalaro sila ng nanny niya or ng brother niya,” she shares, adding that some of Zia’s favorite activities include drawing and coloring, and playing with dolls and her lutu-lutuan.
When it comes to little kids, the mom says patience and understanding is key. “Bata ‘yan e.
Once the child has stopped throwing a tantrum, Marian says it’s important to talk to your child and discuss what happened, so you can also understand how your child is feeling. “Kakausapin ko siya, mag-uusap kaming dalawa,” she shares. “Kakausapin mo lang ng maayos.”
