Moms Share Healthy Breakfast Sandwiches They Prepare For Their KidsThey also shared tips on how to get kids ready for online classes!SPONSORED CONTENT
Let’s be honest: Getting the kids up and out of bed in time for online classes can be hard. Add to that the challenge of encouraging them to eat breakfast — aka, the most important meal of the day — and it can be even more difficult to shake off their usual feeling of sluggishness and lack of energy in the morning.
Sounds familiar, moms? No worries — you can make breakfasts exciting for your kids!
Take it from these three moms Em Alcantara, Angelica Castellon, and Danna Toledo-Bawalan, who shared their tried-and-tested breakfast sandwich recipes that your kids, too, will love waking up to. They gave useful tips in getting children ready for their online classes, too!
How to make Mommy Em’s Tuna and Apple Sandwich
For breakfast, Em Alcantara likes to prepare something refreshing with her daughter, Aria — like this tuna and apple sandwich.
“The apple gives a kick of juiciness in each bite, and it’s also perfect for any season and time of day,” she explained. It’s also a great way to sneak in some fruits!
Aside from this recipe, Em also shared how she helps Aria get ready in the morning for her online classes. For this mom, it’s important to prepare the child prior to the class as if they are actually going to school.
Em advised to set up early: ensure that the internet connection is stable and the laptop is fully charged so that any issues or technical problems can be addressed before classes begin.
After classes, Em said, parents should also check in with the child to find out how the lessons went, and see if there are assignments or things that have to be practiced or accomplished before the next class.

How to make Mommy Angelica’s Egg Sandwich
Does your child love the classic egg sandwich? Angelica Castellon’s daughter, Rio, sure does! For moms with kids like hers, Angelica suggested mixing it up with different veggies and meats to make it even more appetizing for your child. You can easily do this by keeping your pantry stocked with Lady’s Choice Meaty Spreads.
When it comes to preparing for online classes, Angelica believes in setting separate areas for school and for play, as distance learning blurs the distinction between the two. She also lets Rio get dressed for school and puts healthy snacks in a lunch box, so her daughter can feel as if she is in school.
“This will make them feel alert and present during online class,” she said.
