A mom always has a soft spot for kids, even those that are not her own. In a typical Filipino family setting, especially in large families, it is almost a given that your child will have cousins or playmates who are about the same age, which makes raising a child even more fun.

It also makes it challenging, though, once people start making comments about the kids and comparing their developmental milestones: "Has your child taken his first step yet?" "Baby (cousin's friend's baby's name) just spoke her first word! What about yours?"

We'd like to know: When people compare your little one with other babies, how do you react?
