You've probably received your child's report card by now, and if you're like majority of Filipino parents, then you know the struggle kids have when it comes to two subjects: HeKaSi (Heograpiya, Kasaysayan, at Sibika) and Filipino -- not because the lessons are difficult to grasp, but because of the language in which they are taught -- in Filipino, or Tagalog.
In commemoration of Philippine Independence Day, we thought we'd ask a handful of young kids if they could take a guess on the meaning of some Tagalog words, all of which can be found in popular Filipino children's storybooks.
