    • Physical Development
    • Can pull off his shoes by himself
    • Can hold a cup with one hand
    • Can jump with feet off the ground
    • Can open doors
    • May build a tower of four or more blocks
    • May draw a vertical line
    • May balance on one foot

     

    Cognitive and Mental Development

    • Can speak clearly most of the time or even all the time
    • Can concentrate intensely on one activity
    • May understand adjectives, such as big, small, etc.
    • May even be able to recognize some letters of the alphabet

     

    Emotional and Behavioral Development

    • Can play imaginatively
    • Can control his actions, such as shoving, pushing or throwing tantrums (but don't expect perfect behavior yet)
    • Can understand the ‘why' behind certain rules, like why you can't run out to the street or why you have to put on shoes before going outside
