    Breastfeeding tips from moms

Breastfeeding hardly comes easy for a mother. Whether it's the latching, bleeding, or lack of milk supply, moms are always looking for answers how to make their breast milk — well, best for their baby!

If you're going through the same struggles, here are breastfeeding tips and lessons that we think padede moms will benefit from the most:

    1. “Don’t be pressured about having a different journey. Some will find it easy, some [will find it] hard. Treasure and accept what your body is capable of.” — Hanna

    2. “Never let anyone tell you that you can’t breastfeed just because your boobs are small. The size of the breast has nothing to do with milk production.

Babies just need drops of milk on their first days; don’t believe that you are not making enough milk because you are!” — Khirsty

    3. “People told me to stop breastfeeding when my baby turned one. I breastfed my first child for almost three years, and now, I've been breastfeeding my youngest for more than two years. I don't have any plans of weaning her, except when she wants it herself.

“It provides her comfort, it's our special bonding, and it passes the nutrients I take in. There's just so much that breastfeeding can do especially in this time of pandemic.” — Jhem

    4. “Try the side lying position. Some first-time moms would give up because of the pain, but so far, this technique works so much for us. I've been breastfeeding my daughter for more than 3 years now!” — Sheree

    5. “Isa puso ang kagustuhan mo na magpadede, hindi 'yung napilitan ka lang. The more na gusto mo ang isang bagay, the more na pagpupursigihan mo.” — Mich

    6. “Educate yourself about breastfeeding. Read articles, watch videos. Share your plan with your husband so he will know what to do and he could provide what you need. It will be hard and exhausting but keep going and be patient.” — Mira

    7. “Stick to mommies who are successful because they will be the ones to give you sound advice and knowledge. Never ask [about] breastfeeding from people who have no experience.” — Lala

    8. “Be positive. Think that you’re feeding your baby well. Make other padede moms your inspiration, stop comparing yourself to them.” — Clarisse

    9. “Magpahinga. Hindi naman tayo immortal, nakaka-drain magpadede. It’s okay to ask for help kapag hindi na natin kaya.” — Kenzie

    10. “Eat malunggay and more sabaw! Stay healthy and hydrated.” — April

    11. “Just do it. Your body will eventually produce milk if you keep on letting your baby latch on. Take care of yourself and manage your stress as much as possible to produce more milk.” — May

    12. “Do it with love! You breastfeed not only because of the many benefits your baby gets, but also because it is one of the most selfless acts of a mother’s love.”  — Sel

    13. “Enjoy the journey because it won’t last forever. But, the bond that you had with your baby while breastfeeding will forever be etched in their hearts and memories.” — Mary Rose
