Pinay Moms Are Celebrating August With Simultaneous Breastfeeding!It's called Hakab Na! and more than 4,000 moms breastfed at the same time in 2017.by SmartParenting Staff .
August is National Breastfeeding Awareness Month, and breastfeeding advocates and groups celebrate it with "Hakab Na!," which gather moms to nurse their children en masse simultaneously.
Breastfeeding Pinays, an online support group of over 250,000 mothers, tells us that the Philippines logged a total of 4,775 mom-and-baby pairs breastfeeding in 25 areas across the country in 2017.

This year, Breastfeeding Pinays is expecting approximately 2,000 mothers at the SMX Convention Center alone on August 5, 2018. But there are now 62 locations (as of July 31) across the country holding simultaneous breastfeeding activities on August 3, 4 and 5. For those in the South, for example, South PiNanays, another online support group, is holding Hakab Na! in the following venues from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
