"Hi bunso, we can’t wait to hold you in our arms, Elio. So amazed at how the technology now enables us to get a glance at how our little babies are doing inside our tummies. How they look like and what they’re doing. That’s Elio’s big foot on this forehead. He was munching and sucking on pretty much everything his hands can hold inside my womb," Dimples wrote.

Do you need to have 3D/4D ultrasounds?

According to experts, they generally advise against taking "keepsake" three-dimensional (3D) and four-dimensional (4D) ultrasounds.

In an article by Verywell FamilyRobin Elise Weiss, PhD, MPH, said there is no medical benefit and the long term effects of these lengthy ultrasound exposure are unknown.

While 2D ultrasounds are performed during prenatal check-ups, these 3D and 4D ultrasound scans are optional. It's best to check with your OB-Gyne first.
