Award-winning actress Iza Calzado and her husband Ben Wintle are about to welcome their first child, but before anything else, their friends pulled off a beautiful and intimate baby shower celebration last January 7 in Okada Manila.
The baby shower was attended by Iza's closest friends including She Talks Asia co-founder Lynn Pinugu, and celebrities like Dra. Vicki Belo, Rajo Laurel, and Tim Yap.

Wintle Is Coming
The 40-year-old mama-to-be looked stunning in her white dress that stood out in a room filled with fresh flowers. Recently, Iza hinted that she is having a baby girl.
During the event, Iza expressed her gratitude to her friends, in a video shared by Noel Ferrer.
"Thank you so much for being here, I'm so grateful because I feel the love and support from everybody because I never really thought this day would come."
Iza added, "Because I wasn't like, if God didn't put this baby in my belly, I think I wouldn't have really taken that leap, and boy, what that leap it is! I never knew what was on the other side until it happened and it has been such an amazing journey especially with this man by my side."
"I'm also just looking forward to seeing the power that I have beyond the first 40 years of my life. As I become a mother, I can already feel that there is already a shift happening, a change, and it's all for the best," she said."

"I'm just so grateful. It's a lot to take in, but I have been divinely guided, supported, and blessed to get to this point [in] my life and to have all of you in my life because I really won't be able to do this without all of you. But I also believe that I can do my best also. In case there is a moment I don't, I have all of you to lean on."
She concluded with, "Kaya ko to! Marami na akong kinaya."

Ben Wintle's revelation
Her husband Ben then revealed that their baby was created last May 9, 2022, during election day.
He said when they went to cast their votes and found that the queue was still long, "We said, let's give it a few hours, so Iza and I, we got some time to kill, or create, and here we are now."

Ben went on to say how Iza's pregnancy has been an incredible journey, and he's happy with the changes that pregnancy brought to Iza.
"She's nicer to me, she's so much more loving, and I really want to see it continue," he said.

Ben said, "Thank you, Iza, my wife, and mother of my child, for being so strong and so loving in this journey, and you're going to be a great mom."
To which Iza replied, "And you're going to be a great dad."
The couple highlighted that they feel more confident to enter the new chapter in their lives because they are surrounded by great family and parents, most of whom are parents.
Indeed, it takes a village to raise a child.
