Childbirth is both a terrifying and exciting experience — you don’t know how it will go until you’re right there at the moment, so your partner’s presence can be a source of great comfort. While not all hospitals would allow husbands inside the delivery room, there are a number of ways they can motivate and cheer on their pregnant wives, just like this man from Atlanta, Georgia in the United States who did it in the sweetest way possible.
Kendall Caver presented his pregnant wife, Jasmine, with a booklet of motivational messages to encourage her as she underwent two days of labor at a hospital in Atlanta on September 3.
In a video, Kendall is seen standing by his wife as he flips through a series of pages full of reassuring words and anecdotes, some dating back to when the couple met nearly 10 years ago.
In the booklet, Caver noted the “rough times” the couple went through, including a “pregnancy loss,” and said it took “prayer” and “patience” for their relationship to succeed. Caver said his wife “laughed, smiled, and cried” during the storytelling process.
“You are my best friend, soulmate and in just a few pushes, you’ll be the most amazing mother our daughter could ever ask for,” Caver wrote in the final pages.
