The addition of Aurelia makes Mark officially a girl dad of three. Their eldest, Maxima, was born in 2015, while their second child, August, was born in 2017. They also have a well-loved dog named Beast.
It can be recalled that when Priscilla was pregnant with their first child, Mark announced that he would be taking a 2-month paternity leave.
"This is a very personal decision, and I've decided to take 2 months of paternity leave when our daughter arrives." He added, "Studies show that when working parents take time to be with their newborns, outcomes are better for the children and families. At Facebook we offer our US employees up to 4 months of paid maternity or paternity leave which they can take throughout the year."

In the Philippines, dads are entitled to only seven (7) days of paternity leave. However, recently, a bill has been filed to increase the fully paid paternity leave of every working father to 30 days. A 2019 study found that dads who take a paternity leave have more stable parental relationships.
More importantly, when dads are given more a longer paternity leave, it is found to help moms recover from postpartum better. This lessens the risks of the mom from having perinatal mood and anxiety disorders like postpartum depression.
