Mother's Day is coming up! So we asked moms in the Smart Parenting Village what gift they truly want to receive this year.

Initially, we thought it would be a shopping list of gadgets, makeup, and appliances. But reading through the thread with 235 comments, what moms truly want and need cannot be bought online.

Yung totoo: What gifts do moms want to receive on Mother's Day?

1. Day-off!

One mom said, "Isang araw na hindi ako nanay, not thinking about the laundry, or taking care of the kids." Most of the moms wanted the same.

They sincerely want a day for themselves, where they can just watch Netflix, go to a salon or spa for pampering.

"Alone time to pamper myself and be sane again," said another mom.

2. Peace of mind

While the Miss Universe answer would be, "World Peace," moms in SPV said they want peace of mind for Mother's Day. 

"Isang araw na walang ingay at pahinga, at walang magpapasaway!" said one mom.

3. Overnight stay with the family

These selfless moms could've asked for anything, but deep in their hearts, what they want is quality time with their family.

4. A good, uninterrupted 8 hours of sleep

Being a mom entails waking up at night to breastfeed, or to soothe a crying child. One mom simply wanted to have a peaceful sleep, even just for a day.

One mom asked if it's possible to feel that she is appreciated by her family and loved ones. For her, if she can receive that, "Siguro ma-feel ko na araw-araw Mother's Day."

Moms also wished for items that they can use to make themselves look more beautiful, like curling iron or a trip to the salon.
