Smart Parenting Awards 2023: 10 Products We Love For Kids
Breakfast: Quaker Rolled Oats
Kids are the toughest critics, that's why when we asked kids what they love about Quaker Rolled Oats, we concluded that it's the top breakfast food for kids.
"I make this with milk, so it's creamy. I don't joke around when I say our kids demand to go to the grocery when they learn that our Quaker Rolled Oats is about to run out," said Ronna Capili Bonifacio, Smart Parenting editor-in-chief.
"I like the taste when it's mixed with honey, and also the texture," her 10-year-old daughter Vera said.
"Me too!" Alessandro, 3, agreed.
Quaker Rolled Oats is a smart mom’s choice for an easy-to-prepare yet healthy breakfast. It’s sodium-free and a good source of fiber, plus it has no artificial preservatives and flavors. Best served with milk and/or topped with fruits, it can easily fill power kids and even moms up in the morning and keep them full until lunch.

Yogurt Drink: Dutch Mill Mixed Fruits
Moms consider the Dutch Mill Yogurt line as a healthy alternative drink for their kids, and the Mixed Fruits variant gets the most love. The drink contains calcium from fresh cow’s milk and cultured yoghurt, fermented by Lactobacillus bulgaricus and Streptococcus thermophilus.
Iza Santos Cuyos admits that her child is also a fan, saying, “Of all the Dutch Mill flavors, Mixed Fruits is the only flavor that my toddler remembers and actively asks for. It’s always a staple in our supermarket carts, and it already has a permanent spot in our fridge. Enrichment Program: Kumon
Moms at the Smart Parenting Village who have enrolled their kids in the Kumon program say that it’s worth it as it helps their kids, aged 3 to 4 years old, learn how to write, read, and do basic maths.
Summer Program: McDonald’s Kiddie Crew Program
McDonald’s have been offering the McDonald’s Kiddie Crew Program for the longest time (they even did an online version during the pandemic) and the reason for its permanence? It’s popular with both kids and parents alike because it’s a good way to learn new skills, gain new friends, and have fun with Ronald and his crew.
For parents at the Smart Parenting Village, enrolling their kids to McDonald's Kiddie Crew workshop during their school breaks helped their children to socialize with other kids.
This year, McDonald's opened the workshop to kids as young as four years old. Aside from having fun, some parents say that the lessons their kids picked up from the one-week workshop will always be cherished for a long time.
