We keep applying anti-aging creams, masques, and serums on our faces, but often forget our bodies save for the occasional slathering of lotion on elbows or heels. “But the signs of aging may manifest as early as your 20s depending on your lifestyle,” explains dermatologist Shyla Valdes, M.D. “If you’re always under the sun then pigmentation, wrinkling, and dryness of the skin may appear early on in life.” Read on for tips to keep your skin looking youthful all over.

    Cleanse and moisturize
Start in the shower. Hot water can dry out your skin, so use a moisturizing soap bar or body wash. When done, lock in more moisture by patting your skin dry and applying a skin-rejuvenating body lotion, focusing on hips, thigh, buttocks, abdomen, and arms.
TRY: Burt’s Bees Naturally Nourishing Milk & Shea Butter Body Wash, P650, (available at Beauty Bar) and Jergens Shea Butter Deep Conditioning Moisturiser (available at leading supermarkets)

    Soften your hands
You don’t realize it but your hands are a dead giveaway of your age. “Look for a formula with petrolatum, lanolin, dimethicone, glycerin, urea, phosphoglyceride, alpha-hydroxy acids, or peptides,” says Dr. Valdes.
TRY: L’Occitane Hand Cream, P510 (30 mL, available at Rustan’s)

Protect all over The skin’s biggest enemy: the sun.
Use sunscreen with broad UVA and UVB protection and an SPF of at least 30 every day, rain or shine.
TRY: Vaseline Healthy White SPF 30 Body Serum (available at leading personcal care stores and supermarkets)

    Lighten age spots
You can help fade spots on your body by exfoliating regularly. “They may also be lightened by applying lightening creams,” says Dr.Valdes. But if you have uneven pigmentation or freckles all over your chest, then consider dermatological services like “microdermabrasion, Intense Pulsed Light Treatments (IPL), and some lasers,” she adds.
TRY: The Body Shop Dead Sea Salt Scrub

Clear up your chest and back
If you’re prone to breaking out on your chest and back, treat those areas with a medicated soap or spot-treat specific areas with an anti-acne gel treatment. “Whether it appears on your back, chest, or face, acne should be treated with either topical or oral medication, and should include a combination of keratolytics, antibiotics, and oil reducing products,” explains Dr. Valdes.
TRY: PanOxyl Soap Free Cleanser (available at leading drug stores)

    Get toned thighs
Unfortunately, working out your glutes is the only way to firm those thighs. But here’s a quick fix: “Use an iridescent bronzer on your legs. Darker skin can make you look slimmer, and the light-reflecting particles will reflect light off the dimples and bumps on your skin, giving the illusion of smooth, even-toned skin,” says makeup artist Sabs Hernandez. But instead of tanning under the sun, apply a self-tanner.
TRY: Potter & Moore Bronze Ambition Glow 'N' Go – Shimmer, P195 (100 mL, available at Beauty Bar)

    Prettify your feet
Keep dry, rough skin at bay by using a pumice stone or foot file regularly. Then massage in a moisturizing foot cream or lotion with alpha-hydroxy acid to keep skin soft and smooth while promoting cell renewal, regeneration, and microdermabrasion.
TRY: VMV Re-Everything Face, Hand, Body Lotion, P1,285
