The Ultimate Eyebrow Hack For Busy MomsOn good days, just fill in your brows and you're ready to face the world.by Rachel Perez .
The "I woke up like this" look only happens when you have good skin and had a good night's rest -- rare for busy moms. But there is one trick that makes you look less tired, even when you're not wearing makeup: well-groomed eyebrows.
Eyebrows frame the face, and it makes a huge difference when they are groomed and filled-in. We highly suggest getting your brows shaped by a professional. Schedule it when you get your hair and mani-pedi done so you won't have to schedule it another time. If a hair grows out of place, you can easily tweeze it out until you get your salon me-time again in, let's say, three weeks or a month. But be careful not to over-pluck your brows. You can use any slanted tweezers as long as you use them properly.

The trend today is the thicker your brows are, the younger you'll look. But, alas, not all of us are blessed with great bushy brows, and age can even have an effect on its thickness. So what can you do if you have gotten your eyebrows shaped but there are still gaps in between? You just have to draw them in, just like coloring between the lines. Here's how:
First, make sure you find a shade that's the closest to your hair color as possible. Then, choose your tools; you can choose to use a brow powder set, or a gel pencil. Draw on the gaps using an eyebrow pencil to fill them in. Use light, feather-y strokes and follow your eyebrows natural hair growth. Then, soften those strokes by applying brow powder. Finish off by brushing your eyebrows to blend. It takes getting used to, but practice is the key. (You can watch this tutorial video to see how it's done.)ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

For an added touch (read: if you have more time to spare), seal your brows lightly by dusting translucent powder. You can also use a brow gel or mascara, which coats your eyebrows to make it appear thicker, and can put fine hairs in place and tames unruly strands. You can opt for a lighter shade to help highlight the tips of your eyebrows, making them look as natural as they can be.
A clear mascara should also seal your brows nicely, but sans the highlights.

Another way to give your brows an instant lift is to use highlighting pencils. Apply a stroke under the arches of your brows for an instant lift. It's also perfect for hiding small stray hairs, if you don't have time to pluck or wanting to grow your eyebrows.
You can also do it old-school by applying slightly gold-ish or pink-ish powder under your brow's arches. We love: Benefit High Brow Eyebrow Highlighter and High Brow Glow Brow Highlighter, P1,200 each, available at all Benefit countersADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
