The 70’s vibe is very strong in the fashion industry at the moment. Suede is a popular material of the trend but isn't really suitable in our tropical climate. The easiest way to rock this look is with wide flared jeans paired with a flowy printed top. The key factor of this trend is the rich rustic palette – think burnt orange, mustard and blue. Prints vary from florals, to paisley and oftentimes, contrasting. Maxi dresses as well as printed separates (like skirts or blouses) in moving fabrics are some of your bets for this trend.

Feminine, soft, delicate -- these are some words that would best describe this trend. Think lace, ruffles, soft pinks and peach. Be careful though when shopping for laced clothing – lace should feel and look elegant. Pick classic silhouettes, like a fitted dress, and neutral colors.

The 90s grunge slip is back. Now how do we wear this trend without feeling we’re showing too much skin? Wear it with a cardigan, jacket or blazer to cover up. Longer dresses or those made with non-slinky fabrics are also good options. If you still find them too sexy, go with a top instead. Pair it with jeans, pants or a skirt and, again, a jacket. A cover up is key so as not to look like you’re just literally wearing lingerie.

These are not your typical nautical stripes. The bigger the stripes, the better. Plus it has to have lots of colors. Whether it is a top, skirt, a pair of pants or a dress – let it be the star of your ensemble. Keep everything else simple and neutral. Let those stripes enjoy the limelight and get all the attention.

Pleated skirts are huge in 2016 and we love it! It gives fabric such beautiful texture and detail, making a piece of clothing so much more interesting. A mid length skirt in a neutral color would be a great choice as this would allow you to mix and match it with so much of your clothing. However, pleats in contrasting prints and different fabrics is just very exciting.
