Love Bonito’s latest collections City-Chic and Comfy-Chic are headlined by Smart Parenting cover moms Coleen Garcia and Kryz Uy who both said motherhood was one of if not the biggest life transition they’ve experienced.
“I think the most challenging transition for me was definitely stepping into motherhood. Feeling ko I had to unlearn everything that I thought about myself. And then stepping into this new role, ‘What is this new life? Hindi na pala ako yung priority.' Basta super hirap talaga nung transition to motherhood,” said Kryz at the launch event held in Mess Hall, Makati City, on September 5.

You feel so safe and so secure doing one thing. And then all of a sudden you have to step into the unfamiliar and it's just a very daunting experience.”
“And you could just stay in your safe space, right? You could just stay there. But you also have to question, what if? What if? And I don't like to end with what if. So, it's best to really push yourself to try new things, to explore new heights.”

As a mom, Kryz looks for comfort while Coleen, who’s been working in show business since her teen years, seeks out items she can be confident in and clothes that’s true to who she’s become.
Kryz’s City-Chic collection are girly-friendly styles made of cotton, tweed, and pleather that are as functional as they are pretty. Tops include pads and adjustable straps and everyone’s practical favorite for dresses and bottoms, pockets!
“As a mom, my style has definitely evolved from wearing whatever looked good, even if they ended up being a bother all day, to prioritizing comfort above all else,” said Kryz.

It’s not very ‘me’ if it requires too much effort. Through the years, I’ve realized that with the right pieces, you can definitely achieve a balance between both comfort and style.”
Love Bonito’s latest collection is indeed mom-approved, and a great reminder that comfort, confidence, and a strong sense of personal style can still be achieved in motherhood.
