All The 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' Hair Tutorials Your Child Needs

In case you missed it, the Netflix movie K-Pop Demon Hunters (KPDH) took over Netflix charts globally, as well as music streaming sites. It’s now Netflix’s most-watched original animated film of all time. The soundtrack’s standout track, “Golden”, has held the #1 spot on Spotify for 14 consecutive days, while the whole album has become the longest-running #1 animated film soundtrack in Billboard history. 

Among all the hair tutorials for Rumi’s hair, I found this one the easiest to copy. I tried this with my daughter, and she was pleased with the result. The straightforward step-by-step process was easy to follow. 

Rice Cupp Family, a Filipino content creator, also showed an easy hair tutorial for Rumi’s hair. The tutorial also followed the same process for a dragon braid and then shifted to a regular braid for the longer part of the hair. This is perfect for kids with long hair. No need for a rat-tail comb, just grab a regular hair clip and do the magic. They completed the look with a simple Huntrix cosplay!

The video shows a slightly different starting point, but still resembles Rumi’s iconic hair. While slightly more complex than the other tutorials, this hairstyle stands out for its sleekness and modern style. By combining two techniques—the dragon braid and the Dutch braid—she recreated a look nearly identical to Rumi’s.

We may not be able to color our child’s hair purple like Rumi, but we can add a purple wig!

Mira and Zoey’s hairstyles are pretty easy and fast to do, and can be done even on school days! She used water as hair spray in every stage to achieve a sleek look, along with a rat-tail comb.
